Zelda Projects / Re: [Trailer] Zelda: Sacred Paradox Pokemon heck

Quote from: InnerMobius
Veran would abduct Zelda (after mistakenly abducting a few other girls like Malon) and would use her to enter the Sacred Realm.
Do you mean abduct with like, soul gems? :P

It would be funny if all of the girls he abducted later became his pokemon in a boss battle.

Indeed.

MaJoRa cleared it up for me on Skype. Polite guy, he is. :P

I'm glad you came back to update here!
I was so interested in this project, that I came over to the PokeCommunity from time to time just to make sure it was still alive, after never playing a Pokemon game! :P

Still though, this felt a lot like a comeback somehow, and I love the new stuff!
Odolwa is then, a legendary right?
Also, can normal Pokemon evolve into legendaries?
Again, I've never played, but I was wondering what you were going to do for King Dodongo.

Also, having never played Pokemon, that background image caught me very off-guard.  ;)

Last thing:
I read somewhere you were going to have four dungeons, but that doesn't quite give you the chance to show off the entire world that Zelda has to offer.
You already have a forest dungeon, but Zelda games typically have some kind of fire, ice/water, sand, sometimes dark/shadow, and a final dungeon, like Ganon's Tower.
If you don't include every environment, you might not be able to show just quite every race and creature Zelda has.

That's just that bit of info I wanted to know.
I'm really thinking of contributing to this!
Good luck!

What about our project?
That's still very much going on. :P

Not to discourage or anything of the sort.
I just found it odd to restart an ongoing project.

If you are aware of ours though, and you want to go for your own attempt, then I wish you good luck!  XD
I hope you have as much fun making it as we are.  ;)

So, is this still an ongoing project people can contribute to?
And is it being made into a game?

I get a lot of these points, and in OoT 2D, we've been working around a lot of these.

I kinda like the Lens of Truth in 2D, though, it does seem, easier, in 2D.
So here it is, exactly what you said not to do:

(I'd post the video directly, but it won't take a link from my tablet, sorry. :-\)

I think I understand why you hate the Lens of Truth in this game, but out of curiosity, I was wondering if you actually had an alternative suggestion. How would you implement the Lens of Truth?

I don't think you ever showed me the eating one. That's awesome! Are you going to do any for the other directions too, or just that one? XD

I need to play this again so I can critique it. I think I meant to my first time playing it, but I never got around to it. I do remember that it's fun though, so I'll have fun playing it a second time. :P

If you plan on doing more than one at once, it is good to mix and match your favorites with fan favorites.
A good example of this would be doing [Unpopular favorite] with like, Super Mario Sunshine.

Or maybe in your case, Perfect Dark with SMB3?

Don't ever play a slow game when playing with more than one person.
Quick platformers, and or shooters are the type you want to play with a friend.
Things like OoT is something you should take on solo.

What I liked to do is to play an unpopular - semipopular Indie game, and pair it with something that always kicks off a Let's Play career, like uh
Well, sunshine is all I can think of.
It's just a really good starter.

Also schedules help.
Like a fan-game or some other special occasion game per month or week can gather hype.

I really like these, but...

Something about that palette just isn't doing it for me.

Maybe...darken the Goron?

These are all really good.
Are you making a game?

That's lame.

Could you post what you completed, unless there is still a chance you may enter?

It looked like some cool Goron version of Daddy N' Me, but I never played that game.
It would just be cool to see. c:

Link and Zelda.

These are epic but, Zelda seems to look a teeny bit masculine.
Can't quite put my finger on what is though. I think it may be in the arms. Her stance seems awkward, and her shoulders are very broad.
Maybe if you made her arms do something else...?

The Windwaker/Minish Cap ChuChus evolve into the Majora's Mask ChuChus, and then maybe those'll evolve into the ones from Skyward Sword, only in appearance though as they'll all be electric types.

I've since edited the WW/MC ones to be smaller so it's a bit more apparent.

Maybe it could evolve into a Mad Jelly, or Cho Worm.
I would suggest a Big Chu, but that would mean reversing the order of the evolution, or making it go back to looking like a WW one, which would be weird. :P

Why not base the shiny version off Rare Chu's from TP? Not in shape, but you know, yellow, sparkling, and whatnot.

Looking good! I did some small touches to the Bazaar Owner sprite, tweaked the palette and fixed the outline :)

That's a really nice edit, but I think I like ZoSo's eyes more.

Huh... Yeah that's annoying. We've got a rogue mod on our hands it seems.

Here's some new stuff:

Two separate creatures, or does one evolve into the other?

If the latter, which evolves into which?

Here are a list of all enemies in Zelda, sorted by type:
http://zeldawiki.org/Category:Enemies_by_type

Here are a list of all races in Zelda:
http://zeldawiki.org/Races

I wouldn't suggest naming any specific characters as a creature final evolution.

For Goron for example, why not go:
Baby Goro > Goron > Biggoron

Also, I think Goron would more likely be a rock type, because they don't really associate with fire, other than growing bombs, they are just resistant to it.

So, it's a heck after all.
I'm more used to Zelda hecking myself, even though I'm working on an originally coded game with Cheerful Sage, but I know that hecking in the Zelda world is very limited.

However, I do know it can vary greatly from game to game.
Since it looks like you're an experienced modder on that forum, I want to know:
How limited is Pokemon hecking?

For instance, are dungeons really a plausible idea?
And how crazy is the idea of your heck, possible or not?

(BTW, I don't think you should replace pokeballs at all. I think a dimensions colliding kind of story is a lot more fun than a Zelda parody.)

This looks really interesting, I'll be following this daily, for sure.

Have you thought about modding or coding a fan-game based on this?
A Hybrid of Pokemon and Zelda could go really well, especially if you took in certain aspects of both respective games.

I've never played Pokemon, but I definitely would play this, eventually, anyway. (I may want to play my first Pokemon game before I do so)

If this goes on awhile, I can't wait to see the bosses rockin the spots of legendary Pokemon, if that's how that'll go, anyway.
