According to VG Charts, the Wii has now sold 4 million units worldwide. Nintendo had set the goal of selling 4 million by the end of 2006, and very well may have hit that target (sales data takes a number of days to compile). Many analysts are predicting that Nintendo will exceed their next projection of 6 million by March 2007.Meanwhile, the Wii continues to be sold out at nearly all retail locations, as iTrackr.com has the Wii???s National Availability at only 2%. This is in stark contrast to the PS3???s National Availability of 75%. It seems Nintendo???s biggest problem these days is production as even the DS Lite, Wii Remote, and Wii Nunchuk are almost impossible to find (National Availability of 4%, 14%, and 10% respectively).
