Introducing:
PRECIOUS STONE

~Intro:
After playing, Princes of Persia: two thrones, I was inspired to make a game where something like a dark side of you, shares the same body as you.  But in my version its your soul!  Firstly you play as Princess Peach Toadstool, shes my fav character other than Link :P

~Basic Story(Opening Cinema[BETA]):
Basically Peach, needs to go to the castle of souls in order to destroy the broach(the precious stone).  That way she can save her people from the soul clouds that threaten to take over the Mushroom Kingdom.  Since people are sin filled, the soul realm will make everyone perish, becase the people can't handle the sins they have created themselves!

And they are off to the Mushroom Woods, on the simple adventure, to save her kingdom, from the Sin-Bound souls, that the mushroom carry with them forever..

~Starting abilities:
[Throughout the game, you will get different abilities for completing the game]
1. Talk to Soul Peach <A>
2. Back in time(10 Secs) <SPACE>
3. Wall jumping <Z>
4. Soul Diamonds (Collide into them, to go to the soul realm, and play as Soul Peach)

well why not? I find, RPG, too annoying, and I don't know how to do ALOT of stuff in RPGs, that I want to...

and he said he got the idea from prince of persia, which to my knowledge is a platformer.  correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, they started out platformers.
But "Two Thrones" came out towards the end of Gamecubes life XD so its a 3D, which can be rendered as 2D easily ^_^

Alrighty, thanks, I will send you the .exe when I am finished touching it up.
Post any COMMENTs here so people will see how the game is as well.
and PM and COMMENTs that have to do with the abilities and the rooms, or anything that may spoil things for other people..

Ahem after an exhausting test of Precious Stone here's my comments-

Buggy.Not very buggy.He just has a few things to work out before it will be a pretty solid platformer.
His implement of the hookshot is almost flawless.I found it easy to use,although I had little need for it.
His layout design of the beta was solid.There was a little bit use of puzzles.It was an enjoyable layout.
Sprites were good;backgrounds were bland.Wall jumping still has a few hiccups, but is progressing smoothly.


Overall I give it a 6.5-7/10 for a beta.

I post updates as I continue to play through it over and over.

Alright, Mewgull could you please work on a game with very little or  no plot?  Please and make it small, as small as possible while still fun.  You see I just don't think you can't finish games like this yet, you don't have the patients nor the skill.  Now please don't be offended, I didn't have either of those things to long ago and may still not fully have it.  The first thing you need to do is make small simple games, and learn from them.  GridBlast helped me a lot and I can look back now and say, yeah I finished a game.  I can now work on a bit bigger project and then another after that, but one step at a time is what you need my friend, you have tried to make way to many games in the last few months, and I would really like to see you finish one.  Though that doesn't mean give up, if you really want this, go for it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I probally won't have the mini game option in there.  its simply just going from level to level, and figureing out the riddles of the levels, but you will still be able to enter your highscore on the online table.  I was thinking about this for a while..
so I guess I cut a far chunk of the game off, I have been wanting to for a while..

UPDATE!!!

Mewgull released to me Beta 1.5.
Many of the errors from the previous version have been fixed.Only two or three are left.He made it a little more
difficult as I suggested by lowering the height Peach can jump.Mewgull is progressing nicely.I'd watch out for this game.

This beta receives a 8/10.
