If your itching to get your hands on Megaman 9, then this should hold you over for a little.

Japanese fanboys have recreated SNES Rockman 7 completely in 8-bit form. The graphics, music, and engine are all almost perfect rendition of the NES Rockman games. This a freeware PC game for Windows. Remember this game is in Japanese, but there is only a tiny bit of dialog anyway. It shouldn't bother anyone.

Megaman/Rockman is one of my favorite series (Obviously only the platform genre ones), its awesome to see this game in old school style. Honestly, I like this one a bit better than the original SNES. The 8-Bit graphics just have some kind of charm to them.

Remember guys, Megaman 9 is to be released this month. Show your support!

pretty awesome, I like that f1, f2, f3, f4 slow down the game respectively.

Seems cool. Idk if I'll download it as I'm not really a fan of Megaman.

The dinosaur skeleton is way to detailed for a 8bit game... But besides that it looks great. And that the game is in Japanese is not a problem at all. Since the story of the Megaman games are not interesting at all. It's always Dr Wiley trying to take over the world. Like Bowser always kidnaps Princess Peach.

Not really played much Megaman before, but I guess I have to try it, since it's free ;)

Yeah, look at those rocks and fossils, those are way too detailed for an 8-bit game. Ugh look at the background on the Selection Screen... way too detailed, especially for an 8-bit game.

I'll check this out. I've played a little bit of Megaman 7, so it'll be interesting to play in 8-bit. Hopefully it's not too detailed, that totally takes away from the 8-bit look.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but HB isn't and it's not too detailed for 8bit

You can edit the sprites to make it so you can play as Protoman, or Bass, or Zero, provided you have the sheets.

Obviously :P

I was just mocking him. He obviously knows nothing about 8-bit if he's saying it's too detailed =/ I've seen things with much more detail in 8-bit.

Just saying, this is a bit old. I've had it on my machine for atleast a month, and I'm sure it was out before then. But anyway, it's an example of what a good fan-remake should be. MM7 was a simplex game, so it's pretty possible as you can see here. However, something like OoT2D is... not impossible, but is a devilishly hard feat that people still attempt and fail.
