Yeah AOL sucks like that, long ass time ago I had AOL and it took my parents forever to cancel it.

I feel bad for the dude who got fired. He was doing what Aol told him to do even though they're deining it. Bastards. <_< >_>

But all in all, it was sortive funny. I would have told him streight up, "Aol sucks, please let me cancel this !@#$% account".

I USED TO HAVE GAY - O - HELL BUT UNTIL MY PARENTS CANCLED IT FOR THE NEW HIGH SPEED CRAP. cable modem...yeah!

Or, he got alot of money when was fired ( so he wouldn't go out and destroy AOLs reputation [like it could be worse anyway XD], or sue AOL for it etc. etc. [you get the idea] ).

AOL won't let you use other browsers, they force you to use their own. Their browser crashes constantly.

I think Dayjo and MGZ were pointing out that Firefox isn't a provider, which you sort off said...

Anyway, this is scary !@#$%. Never thought it was THAT bad. Well, we have had a similar provider - T-Online - and...

a) They didn't provide broad-band even though we live in the capital of Germany. We would have had to pay something around 200 ??? to get a special connection installed
b) They had shitty software, the browser was AWFUL and it had millions of programs running with it, of which I didn't even know. ("What the... ToADimon"?! Did I dl'd spyware!?)
c) Even after cancelling (which wasn't such a problem as with AOL here) they keep sending us letters, describing how sad they are that we left and offering us craploads of "super-offers".

Damnit. That's so sick.

To be honest, in this situation i would play the guy on for half hour about how i might want to keep the service, then tell him what a !@#$% hes been, how much i hate AOL, always have and what a crappy service it provides, how slow and unreliable it is, how i have to use thier browser, how its difficult to setup with anything else, how im switching to NTL and thiers nothing he can do, so switch me, lo.

BTW I dont know if its just around here but alot of people just find all the possible AOL Free Trial Discs and go destroy them. Seriously people play games throwing them at each other or just driving down the road tossing them at houses, or they just try to collect them all and take a hammer to them. My step mom probably has the weirdest method, shes collecting them for some craft thing she learned on DIY. AOL needs to quit wasting discs.

AOL discs are nothing but free entertainment. I know of a little youth group that uses them to draw on with markers and decorate their wall. My friends and I usually just gather a bunch and go have epic frisbee battles outside.
