The riots in France

Okay, this issue is JUST over... but I still think we should debate it, eh?

There was a recent law that the French tried to put in place, replacing their previously draconian laws protecting workers, making it almost impossible for firms to hire workers, unfortunately leading to high unemployment. The set of laws replacing it led to a lot of student protests, because, basically, the law meant that when hiring young people, the employer had a two year trial period, during which time, the person could be fired at any time, with no warning, for any reason, which does not have to be disclosed.

Obviously, I'm very anti it, and I hope they find a new set of laws somewhere in the middle. Anyone else got anything to say?

Well, I'd love to debate it, but I need something a bit more objective.  Got a link that I can look at?  Ah, perhaps I'll just google it. ;)

Hmmm, well I guess the rulers should listen to their people...people do not demonstrate for nothing. But I dont really know the finer details of it :)
