Title: So I finished Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Post by: Fox on September 13, 2008, 09:11:47 pm
Last thursday.

I lost my savestate and had to start again, but even then it was worth it. It's amazing. It's a story where you are dying to find out about the ending. And the ending is awesome. The combination of puzzles, amazing and cute cut-scenes, the atmosphere of the game and the Professor's BRITISHNESS just make this a real (and overseen) gem in DS' game-gallery.

I also like the game for not being one of those games that try just too hard to use the touchpad. Like when you play a game and you'd be fine with simply using the buttons and it's fun and all, and then you have to use the touchpad for no apparent reason.

This game didn't have that, and while that's not special at all, it was still a bonus to me.

You should definitely give it a try.

I started playing and after I found out that every level was a puzzle I was like "!@#$% this" and haven't played it since.

It was incredibly good.  The introduction of Don Paolo was random, but he's great and his voice rocks.  Overall, great story.  And I love puzzles.  Perfect game, really, can't wait for II and III.

This is one game that I really wanted to get, but unfortunately it came out after I sold my DS.

Because they were puzzles or because they were annoying to solve?

Same. I'm guessing though it will take forever for them to be released.

I've been playing it for the last few days, thanks to you. ;P

Yeah, I really like it.
Though the puzzles are killing me - I'm way too impatient to solve them, it's really a challenge to  stay put and keep trying.  XD

This game really looked interesting when it came out, but for some reason I never played it.
I guess now is a good time to start.
