Almost everything comes out earlier in japan, when compared with the US or Europe.

That's due to the business attitude of the western worlds in the RPG Market, I think. ;p Just a guess at the very least.

Apparently it wasn't taken in so well and is on sale rather cheap now :(

Not played it myself though (would love to do so of course), still it can't be THAT bad (especially for a country starved of JRPGs :x, but then again perhaps sure that starvation does occur because of all the whining of how bad they (and everything else) all are :x)

I honestly haven't run into very many bad JPRPG's, so America stop freaken complaining about everything you get or Japan will probably start to ignore you, and you know the result of that.

Yea. America has gotten pretty stupid when it comes to games. Here it's like oh a new rpg? Meh. Oh a new call of duty? heck yea... I want games that did well in Japan that aren't coming here, to come here.

Wow. You're awfully Xenophobic, Shadow. Good luck with that plan, it'll really automatically solve all of your problems. America as a country has nothing to do with why JRPG games hadn't come to the west. It's business decision makers that do this, not government politics. Though the irony is that both function like a bunch of angry old men.

You should probably focus more on your English.

On a more serious note, not all JRPGs are good. Hyperdimension Neptunia was quite frankly a crappy game, and I'm pretty sure there are others that are crap. Equally, there are games made in Japan that just don't apply to North American desires for games. Visual novel games are very popular, but this genre does not cling very well with North Americans. It's all about the money: it takes money to bring these games to North America. Companies want to make profit. I think you can do the logic here: if a game does not cling, it will most likely not sell enough to make a decent amount of profit.

That being said, I also have to disagree with the whole "America has gotten pretty stupid when it comes to games" comment, seeing as I, and several others, enjoy North American titles. Call of Duty isn't the only American title out there. Actually, I'd have to say "America" is pretty damn smart when it comes to Call of Duty; the sales that rack up from those games are pretty high, thus making a lot of income. This is pretty smart for a company.

Oh, when I say America, I mean North America. GM seems to think it's a country. Last time I heard, it was the USA :P (being a smartass Canadian here).

JPRPG's are only a small thing, I forgot to explain why I'd rather move out of county. There are some reasons why I dislike western countries. Thats pretty much all I'm going to say to keep this on topic.

I also never said America(US) makes bad business decisions, I said Americans complain too much. And yes Hyperdimension Neptunia was absolutely horrid.

I hated Enchanted Arms, one of the few JRPG's that annoyed me. Xenoblade too. Too many damn packs of like 3-4 enemies >.<

Just messing with you, man. ;p

I didn't like Enchanted Arms either. Only Xenoblade I played was the first one and it was alright from what I remember. Though I do look forward to this new Tales of game. I've not played a new installment in the series since Symphonia came out many years ago.
