I would recommend Being John Malkovich. Fantastic, quirky film.

You have awesome taste in everything, have I ever told you that?

The Shawshank Redemption - same as above
Memento - the plots good but its the way its put together which makes it stand out as a good film

These are also great. I forgot about Memento, I probably would've mentioned it otherwise. Shawshank is pretty well known though, I would assume that Infini has seen it. If not, he should definitely get on that.

Waterworld
Outlaw
Rise of the Footsoldier.

I'm assuming this post is a joke.
Why?

It's just that, Waterworld is neither good nor little-known. And a quick search made the others seem less-than-promising.

Granted, I only know one of those films, but the others don't seem to be very good. I'd be willing to be proven wrong though.

I will never have respect for you, for as long as I live.

I'm sorry, but it was just so very ridiculous. And bad.

Both of the Pretender movies, but you won't understand anything unless you've watched every episode of all four seasons, and I doubt you'd be willing to do that(though it is an awesome t.v. show).

lol Stephen King's Langoliers and Super Mario Bros. >.>
Waterworld was decent.

Maybe the original Fog and The Blob.  I don't really know how "well known" they are today.
Also, the original black and white Night of the Living Dead.

It's an Anime movie and not that uncommon so you've probably seen it, but "Grave of the Fireflies" is an apparently (according to a friend of mine) an effective measure of whether or not you have a soul. Basically, if you don't cry at the end you have no soul. I didn't cry (wanted to but couldn't), so...:(

Johnny Got His Gun is a very good movie, believe I made a short-lived topic about it earlier. Again, nearly cried at the end but didn't.

Battle Royale, again you've probably seen it but it is very good.

Come back when you can post an actual quirky film, Moldrill.

I recommend Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars (Jackie Chan)- great 80's Hong Kong martial arts/comedy flick. Here's a clip

Out of curiosity, which ones haven't you seen?

Also, I'm seconding Battle Royale if you haven't seen it. Brilliant movie. Not sure about the sequel, though.

The sequel is vomit-inducing. The first one combines b-movie goodness with some thought-provoking themes. The book also offers and in-depth look at the deep thought process that allows the entire experiment to work: the uncertainty that creates some of the bloodshed.

If you want to try some other Japanese classics as well then take a look at other studio ghibli and beat takeshi films maybe?

!@#$% yeah man, you're an Oldboy fan as well?  <3 that movie *so* much.

Oldboy really should be top priority, but here are a few more you should see:

Battle Royale (nice and violent)
Boogie Nights (about 70's-80's porn industry :P)
28 days later (very well known, but great movie anyway)
Bottle Rocket (kinda well known)
Eastern Condors (AWESOME.)

Ending confused me on that, was watching it on tv, and in one ending
Show content
he died
and the other
Show content
he lived

I was like O_O wtf!? then my mate told me it was the alternate ending or some !@#$%.
