I hope that anybody who uses this stuff will be able to at least get close to matching Takam's quality. Iunno, it's just going to look weird if I'm playing a game with mediocre tiling then suddenly something like this pops up.

Also...it'll be sort of strange if mutliple games end up featuring these same maps.

Either way, great stuff. I especially like the Indiana Jones-esque boulder...that's what it was inspired by right?

.TaKam, I always thought you were ZFGC's best spriter. And these sprites prove it without a doubt. I'll definitely be using some of these, especially the outsides of hosues, and maybe the tree. BUt either way, credit is definitely deserved on your part.

a question: what happend to your "boktai link" did you finish it? it looked like it is used for sod

anyway good look to that other project... it looked amazing ( the rpg like one ), even when i dont know that character...

Nice work, .TakaM, that really makes up for the graphics n00bs that occupy the rest of the forum.
Shrines of Deceit was an amazing looking fangame, and it's such a shame it was canned :(.

Yeah, canning this is a major disappointment. Couldn't you keep it and maybe use it some other day?

Basically, me and Taka postponed it to work on a different game. It was going OK, although I was having some coding issues and I wasn't that motivated to work on it, since it was based on a game I never played. We then decided it'd be if I quit. I'm very glad that Taka managed to find a new (and superior) coder quite soon, so he could continue to work on that project.
As for SoD, for some obscure reason, I can't open GM6 anymore. I'd have to reprogram the entire engine we had so far, and neither of us were very motivated to actually continue on SoD anyway.

Summary, I quit because lacking motivation/GM problems, and Taka moved on to better and greater things. :P

PS: Now go ahead and use these graphics for all your walking demos.

These graphics are truely amazing! It's a shame though that you weren't able to complete your game, because I can tell that this took you MANY hours of work to put together. I'm sure though that these graphics will be useful to many people out there! :)

Well, it happened.  The graphical giant of ZFGC has died.  Oh well, nice GFX though TakaM.  Though why people would stand on the shoulders of giants and make their "walking demos" even more unoriganal beats me...>_>

oh, oops, I was referring to the game itself as being the giant, but then again, I guess you DO fit that description pretty well though...   :P

Hey, .TakeM, I'd like to use your work in my game, the Triforce Trials.

Maybe you could tell me where I could find some custom tilesets for overworld maps (I'm going to use a customized light and dark world tileset from LttP.  I also think I might have one more from Parallel Worlds.  That's 3.  I'd like to find about three more if you know where I could go to get them.  They need to be in LttP-style, not in ZC, MC, or GB style.  Once, I saw some great things from your demos of Shrines of Deceit, as well as stuff from when the game was originally called Path of the Sages.  Benito and aab have some great stuff, too, and I have asked both of them for use of their tiles (aab made an awesome tileset of Jabu-Jabu's belly in LttP).

Anyway, do you know where I could get some more LttP-styled tilesets?
