There's a difference between famous and infamous. In relation to your project, I came up with this.

Famous means that all your claims are true and votes it gets are earned by those who have been here for a while. It will be known all over the internet for that stuff.

Infamous means all your claims are false and votes it gets will be earned unfairly by vote tampering caused by inviting a bunch of one-shot followers of yours to vote for it, thus tarnishing the feasibility of your game. It, and you, will be known all over the internet for this.

Which would you rather have?

Yeah, right. The pokemon game just jumped from zero to seventeen votes.
I suspect a serious case of fraud here!
I didn't know there was money involved in the PotM prizes, who witholds this information from all but one contestant :P?

XD Well; we used to have real world prizes when we'd do the contests... Things like GM keys that we paid for to other things... It would be nice to do that sorta stuff again to add incentive.

Catch 22 is to do real world prizes, we need active ad revenue (which does not belong to any current active staff), or donations :P

I've disqualified the pokemon project from voting due to it getting an unfair amount of outside support.
Further discussion is in the Feedback section so place regard the matter here closed.

wow this is not fair

as long as they are different people nominating

it should be counted

Oh it's definitely fair, getting your forum lackies to comes in and vote for your game doesn't make it better then any game here. Those people won't ever be coming back here again. Getting them to register just to vote isn't fair for the people that get legit votes.

What I think is funny is that the OOT2D Map Project almost has more votes than that ever had.

I locked the voting, the Project of the Month for September is the OOT2D Map Project with 19 votes. The other three, runner-up projects which will also be going to the Sponsored board are Horn of Balance (11 votes), Ode to Zelda GB (11 votes), and Surface (9 votes).

Holy crap. This is hilarous.

OoT2D ended up with the SAME number of votes as that disqualified entry. XD
