Title: Forbidden Kingdom[Updated:Decemeber 4][Progress Update]

Intro:
A long time ago, I have decided to make a fan game.  A game that is entirely my own, but is still has to do with Zelda.  Since Majora's Mask plot was started as Link was searching for a beloved friend, then it unraveled into this mysterious chiled.  I have decided to make my game around that plot, but my own story to it.  FORBIDDEN KINGDOM!

Legend:
Far away from Termina and Hyrule, there existed another Kingdom... Another kingdom, where law states that no one must enter nor leave... If someone was to enter, chaos will swallow the land. if someone were to leave, destruction will bestow the land..  Legend States...
A young boy, shall destroy the curse with the sword handed down by the forest family from the past... But that boy has not come for over 500 years. 
No one has left nor entered this forbidden kingdom, ever since the curse was places upon this land. Eventually the elders at the time of the curse, had all died and no one was able to know about the curse. The elders at that time, has put a curse of their own, that if someone were to think of leaving the land, that it would never happen.  The elders manipulated the sence to think.

Story:
Link is still determined to find his beloved friend.  With no luck in Termina, he continues with his journey to search for Navi.  He comes across a new land, and yet, jugging on the size of this kingdom, he is still determined no matter what it takes.  He must find his beloved friend.  But much like Termina and Hyrule, every kingdom has its problems.  Link will soon find out that this kingdom is no different...

The Legend of Zelda : Londanna

Intro:
I have decided(A long time ago) to make a fangame, a normal fan game with your own story behind it. so it cam up to Sister Londanna. it is a sequel to Majora's Mask... becuase I love MM so much, I thought of creating a sequel(#3) to it.

Story(brief intro):
Link doesn't go back to Hyrule, but is still looking for his beloved lost friend. untill he stumbles across a new kingdom(much like termina) but this kingdom is "Londanna"
there are a few games mixed into this one(LA, LttP, MM, OoT).
There is no way back because in the earthquake at the start, the whole cave link traveled through, had fallen, and can't get back that way.  He learns how to get back but someone is guarding it at the top of Parish Hill(Death Mountain, but name changed :D)  Link brought with him his Guilded Sword as well.  Link need 3 different stars of the elements to awaken the force to go anywhere in the world, and a "soul" to power his courage and strenthen his sword to defeat the evil force causing havock and guarding the force.

I don't know if I am right.
but beta testing is when you get the demo before the public does, and you look for errors in the game, or tileing errors that doesn't look right and you report them to me!(or the person you are working for) and once you can't find anything, the game is then released to the public
but I don't know if I am right... :-[

theres going to be a total of 5, for each of the five sences you have. ;)

Note for the beta testers :  you will be getting the Demo on Tuesday. and I will release the demo, without any bugs on Wednesday

hey, looks sweet, I too am doing a MM sequel lol, but it is a side scroller and it is WW Link that's in it, so I suppose it's more of a WW sequel I guess, anyways nice work, can't wait to see more of it.

Hey, good looking game! I'll be trying this out when it's ready.
If they really did make a third in the series, I wonder what it would be like... probably more back-to-normal, like in the Prince of Persia series.

If you move that portal tile about 4 pixels right, it'll cover just one flower and shouldn't look bad.

I am making this in GM6.1(not GM7 XD)

O ok, cool, that's my specialty lol, well if you need any help with visual effects of any kind just tell me and I can program some cool ones for ya, also if you want, you can use my cool sun module thing (keep in mind it can be used for  more than just a sun, I can resize and recolor it to make a cool looking attack or like a will-o-wisp or something to that effect). I used the sun module in the game in the banner in my quote, if u wanna see what the sun module is, as well as a few other effects I can do (not all of them, just a few neat ones) just click the banner in my quote and check out the game (you'll have to wait just a tiny bit for the sun to rise once the game starts in order to see it). But anyways yeah, if you need any help or can't figure something in the language out, just ask me, I have  been working in gml for many many years now, so I am pretty well versed in the language.

sorry people, you MAY not be able to get the demo tomorrow...  when I try to make Link go to a specific spot when the room starts, it doesn't, so I have to fix it.  the beta testers didn't even get it today yet...

Make him go to the spot before you switch rooms, the commands don't get stored in cache when you switch rooms they get dropped,

so it would be

link.x = (wherever you want)
link.y = (wherever you want)
room = (wherever you want)

instead of

room = (wherever you want)
link.x = (wherever you want)
link.y = (wherever you want)

anyways I hope this helps you with the problem, if not, tell me and I will help you figure it out some more

EDIT: Might as well explain why it works like that
It's cause the code is executed laterally (top to bottom) so it makes all the difference in the world as to what order it's in, and because all the scripts in a phase are completed before the phase ends (in this case I'd assume it would be the collision phase) the draw phase won't be executed until everything is in the right place so you won't even notice that the guy moved before the rooms changed.

The reason why I havn't updated in the past 2 months, is because I was too busy to do most things! but now I am clear, and I have a game maker funk going on right now, and that funk just happens to be towards this game.

Sounds great, screenshots look amazing... that MC Link doesn't work with FSA that well, though :-\.

The Screenshots look good, and I can't wait for the demo... but 1 thing bothers me:(
The Title screen is too plain. All it has is: The legend of Zelda Forbidden kingdom with a sun-looking object. You need more detail. Everything else looks awesome, keep it up! I really want to see this project become massive!

Update of the new place its name is "Tesdar Town."
there is more to the town, this place is just an other area of it...
Also the HUD is gonna change...

I am doing minor things to improve the game a little bit more. then I will start doing the rest of the dungeon.
also, the NEXT demo after 2.5, which would be "demo #5" is going to have the HALF of the game in it! ^_^.  I am making demos untill I reach up to "Demo #10" which will be the full release!
wow, I am planning ahead to fast, lol :P

Wow, I never really got interested in this game, because it looked a bit crappy in terms of graphics (no, I don't always judge by graphics, but I don't like playing ugly games either :-\), but now... FANTASTIC :o :o! The title screen is lovely, and the pic from the temple (of Time?!?) looks amazing, too.

...

And I'm also just posting because it's nice to see people using Alex_Xela's and my Wind Waker/FSA rips in an actual project, and I want to encourage that :P.

Well, people, the dungeon is going smootly.  everything is going as planned ^_^
so, I have decided that I will post the % of the dungeon's completion. I will also progess until the demo comes out :)

The lamp is not aligned to the tile. A bit odd I'd say.
The sword in the hud appears light, while the other images do not. Very strange!

The tiles are aligned in this shot, but the overlay shadow appears to be showing infront of the hud. Interesting.

It is as if the overlap in both shots makes the hud darker, when the hud is, in most engine, generated as the top layer image. That sword being brighter though completely blows my mind. Are these mock-ups or just some horrid glitches?

Well, yes, I am quite aware of ALL of those, plus there are more that are not visible to the eye of players. 
For the overlays, I made all of them FORGROUNDS, because I would be easier to program, especial the clouds overlay, becuase clouds obviously move. Unless I can make the objects that draw the HUD, appear over the overlay, it is just won't work.
For the torch that is not in alignment.  It is not aligned becuase I used 8x8 grid in that room by mistake becuase the non-visible solids in the room are 8x8, I just simply forgot to turn it to 16x16.  Also I think that increases the problem is becuase the sprite alignment in the actual sprite edit, is a little messed up.  so that is easy to fix.
Also, I made the tress an object them selves, becuase it would take too long to tile a whole lot of them, and I just don't have that time.

If anyone knows how to make the HUD appear above the FOREGROUNDS, then please tell me

I dont think you can make the hud appear infront of the clouds if you made it foreground:(

I am trying so hard, to make the game better "Bugless".  I really want the hud to appear over the forgrounds, but it just won't happen, I am so pissed, right now.  I think that Mark Overmars, should have an option for like "Appear over Forgrounds" or something, because, I am ticked..
I might have to do everything from Tiles!  but I only know how to make Forgrounds transparent, and not tiles >:(

EDIT
To make tiles transparent, first upload the tileset into a background, then click the bozx that says use at tileset, then select the box transparent, and to use the tiles, go to the room and go to tiles tab and just start adding ;).

Also, I am still hanging on the problem with the overlay problem.  anyone got suggestions?

if you are drawing the HUD from an object thats invisible, set its layer to -1 or something thats crazy like -99999 to make sure it stays on top.

you can't draw over a foreground, the only way would be to draw the foreground in an object, then draw the hud

WOW, the dungeon took SOO much longer than I hoped for...
so anyways, the dungeon is finally done! 100% woot! now, for finshing up the enemies, starting the intro and finishing up the NPCs, and its ready to go!

I got a new idea
the plot is going to revolve around the sences and something like the "Soul Zone"
and since the godesses can't be seen outside the soul zone, you must go into the soul zone to find them!  There are only certain ways to get into the soul zone.  Through red teleporters called Soul Retrevers.  they can be found in certain parts of the Country

EDIT: NAH, nevermind, it sounded like a good idea at the time, but I am going to save this for a different game. 
But BTW this is my idea! ^_^
