 - - - - - Info: Homepage.

Super Smash Bros.: NES is a classic take on the popular Smash Bros series.
Imagine a Smash Bros title two generations behind the original SSB on Nintendo 64... This is it!

SSB: NES Demo Version 2.0 is now up for download!

Some newer features:
- Vs. Mode!
- Extended Adventure mode
- Target test with savable record times
- Hidden goodies
- Much more

Download the correct version depending on your Windows Platform.
Windows XP or older:
DOWNLOAD:
http://ssbnes.cericcproductions.com/files/...NES_Demo2.0.zip

Backup Download: (use if other is going slow or not working)

Windows Vista:
http://ssbnes.cericcproductions.com/files/SSB_NES_Demo2.0_Vista.zip

   IMPORTANT!!!
For info on how to play, read the included help text file.
You won't know what you're doing if you don't read the controls first.

Also, reconmended RAM for smooth gameplay is 480MB or more.
But your computer still may or may not run it smoothly at 40FPS.

Older Vs. Mode Gameplay Video can be found here:

But why watch it when you can PLAY IT!

Interesting. Yet makes me wonder, If Mega Man is going to be in it, who else could he possibly put in that looks so out of place?

Gyromite?  Who knows.

I fixed the Youtube link by the way (when using the tag, just put in the stuff after the "v=").  I like the concept, but some of the movements look blocky and strange even at a lower speed, but I like the level design and the amount of effort put into the menus, characters, etc.  Good job, and I look forward to this project.

This game is going all the way. I know just because Drew NEVER fails to finish a project, and he's already made amazing progress on it.
It's not complex like Linkman00's SSBM 2D GM remake (years and years ago, never finished), but much nicer and smoother.

You didn't read my post?

"The game play is also half the speed of what it should be in that vid, that's because my video recorder slows EVERYTHING down while it's running.
(see, it's running at about 20 FPS when it should be 40 FPS)
"

And thanks! :)

Please tell me you'll use the same policy you're doing with the characters and lift music from the NES games instead of those MIDIs. Please?

The only way it could really happen is if I find a composer. I'm not that deep into music making/audio myself, so I couldn't personally re-create the "Break the Targets" music for example into NES sounding music.

Load the music into Jazz..change the instruments and use a conversion tool...it will convert it into a mp3 or wav...could even try iTunes to convert after you have changed the instruments...

This game looks pretty cool. I'd love to see some enemies like Zelda II's Dark Nut.

The game looks cool, although i wish you had included some combat in the trailer instead of just a target test, is the A.I. done yet?

Cool game. I'd like to ask, how many players (including CPU players) can play in the same battle?

I'm guessing 4 just like the real game. Since it's NES style think you could add Snake into the mix?

The A.I. isn't done yet, I'm waiting until I come up with the final build for the character roster.

As far as players go, like playing on an NES, there is a max of 2 human players. But you can have 2 more CPU players if you want.

When do you think a demo will be ready? Until you get at least a minimum amount of stages and characters in?
