Hmm. The body I very much like. it's well done, and the animation actually looks pretty good. However, the head has problems. The perspectie doesn't match the body, the forehead is too large, Link has almost no hair, and you can hardly see the cap. Other than that it looks pretty good, though. although they eyes seem as though they're a bit too spaced.

Better, but IMO, you should make his eyes closer to each other, it looks kinda weird right now o_O.
Also, you might wanna make the hair a tad "bigger", so it takes more space on his forehead. Apart from that, great work!

Pretty much what I am thinking. Maybe it's a bit too small. It could cause you a lot of troubles... It's still pretty good.

Pretty much what I am thinking. Maybe it's a bit too small. It could cause you a lot of troubles... It's still pretty good.
Well i wanted to do something small. And as for the eyes, it's part of the style.
I didn't make this for use (though anyone can use it if they want), more like i wanted to do something new and fresh.

Why do you like he body? What about the body do you like? The color? Shading? The way it's animated?
Why don't his hair and cap look good? What could be changed to improve them?

You SHOULD include this content in your post when replying to an art-based topic!

I think his hair looks too round and the body is too square. Maybe take a few pixels off of the outside edge of his hair and maybe try widening up his body or making it more dynamic by putting a divot in it or something. Also, the cap would look better if it swung in the air when Link walks.

I don't think he can make 5 frames, they look like they're being used in RPGMaker. <_<

I don't think he can make 5 frames, they look like they're being used in RPGMaker. <_<
Nah, i was just lazy :P
Maybe i'll add more frames a bit later.
And as for the cap moving, i'll add it asap (first thing in the morning, as it's night in here).

so, I did an edit:

as you can see, I started with your sprite, grabbed the basic lineart out of it and changed it into one I thought looked better.
I then coloured it (perhaps I should've saved more of these stages) I used the same colours as your sprite at first which I later tweaked and I aa'd and gave some subtle selout.
for extra credit I also did you south run anim cycle, because you did a four frame anim I thought I should show you how to get nicer results for almost the same amount of work.

I suggest examining each frame and then taking another swing at it

Nice edit, the AA'ing, animations, and hair look wonderful, however the white strip on his face makes it look as though he is gritting his teeth. I assume that's intended to be his nose or something, but it still gives that impression.

And tom, I like the new views, but the cap on the side view sticks out way too much for it's length. Bring it in a pixel or two.

.Takam has to be the best helper in sprites. He actually demonstrates what should be worked on.

Also, love the edit! Very spiffy.

the body and head...wayyy different sizes to match. use taka's as an example. its better fitting size-wise.
