How did it fool people into thinking it was online?
Even though I knew that it wasn't really online as I read the topic before I played, I found it was a good simulation. And since everybody probably went like "OMG Wow! An online-game!" They'd be easy to impress (including me!).

clicked t-dogs, wait?? then full?? huh?
clicked some other team, wait?
in game? people there shooting and taking?
(i wondered about no firewall pop up for a second)
then a second later, it hit me
:P the stuff they say was really clever.
had me going for a second, which really impressed me :P

That game was wicked. It actually works on school PCs.

Lol dude, wouldn't you know?  There was no DLL in the game file!  :P
Ermm.... you dont need a DLL to make an online game in GM. If you want to make an MMOG you might need one.
Ya didn't need to input any IP did ya?

in all mmo's i've seen you never need to manual input an ip, but its still there, in game, it just automatically connects to it
in gm, you can use the mplay functions, but there are dll's out there which are much better

damn
i should have known, since my firewall didnt say anything...
thats tight, but it didnt work very well then
but to be honest there shouldnt be any need for AI, which is very hard to program
still, i wonder why the game is so slow
find the bottleneck and rewrite it :)

Well, the concept seems pretty good. That's pretty much all I can say about why you made this. Now I shall rate the simulation for no reason what-so-ever.

It was neat, if I hadn't known it wasn't online I probably would have thought it was. However, the messages seemed to run out after a few minutes. Nice fake "connecting" thing on the log-in screen. Finally, I liked the fake lag. Yes, I like it. Certain online games get you weened onto lag.
