LegendZelda.net and ZFGC Collaboration
« on: July 26, 2012, 02:29:46 am »
ATTN FAN GAME DEVELOPERS /capslock
Check this !@#$% out!

You have been summoned today because ZFGC is partnering up with LegendZelda.net to bring coverage to you! Have a fan game, but want more people to hear about your creative awesomeness? Well, the only requirements are that you are willing to talk about your project! Noah of LegendZelda has been gracious enough to donate his time to covering fan-related material. Should you have videos, they will be uploaded to LegendZelda.net's YouTube channel which is part of the Machinima Network, so that is easy access to a wider audience never possible through ordinary means. Very nice! And do not be discouraged if you feel your project isn't completed because there will be chances to get a follow-up coverage.

Where do you go to join the fun? Head to http://legendzelda.net/site/contact-us/ and fill out the form stating your intentions in getting some spotlight. :)

Just to clarify: this means that if you have any content that is Nintendo-related and is tangible, then you are eligible to submit your stuff!

I'm conflicted. I want to un-nintendo my game because I someday may want to sell it. Ergo, I cannot have anything that nintendo would be all too happy to sue me for. On the other, I want more exposure and all that but if it's for "nintend-related" games only then I dunno. X_x

Ouch. Well, in regards to the "un-Nintendoing" part I suppose that's fair enough and probably a good move. ;p Fan games are great an all but if you can take your idea in another direction beyond what the Zelda series allows for, then by all means go for it. The "Nintendo-related" requirement was on Noah's behalf because he wants to spend more time covering fan content. Though if it's still a fan game at this point there's no harm in at least trying to get it covered. Because in my opinion, your project was once a fan game(or still is but won't be soon) so it would be a rather good success story that you've decided to evolve the project beyond that of a fan title.

Good luck with your project, by the way. :)

Hey, Legend, are you interested in Final Fantasy fan-games?  If so, I'll push my coding time to get a far better tech demo together for Forgotten Legends.

Well I would like to say that this is a fairly good start to the promotion of fan game projects. :) Good work, Noah!
