tight butthole, I don't like it very much.  He looks too slim, his arms are way too long, hands look weird, feet look weird, buttons look weird.  It'd probably be fine if you removed the buttons altogether.  They don't need to be 3D, and could just be added in the skin/texture.  D:

Basically when I'm looking at this I'm comparing it to the SM64 model, which is so much better IMO.

I might. >.> It's just for my contest entry, and I'm honestly not going to focus on the graphics a whole bunsh.

I wish I had the Mario 64 model, but such is life.

Even so, you should at least shorten those arms. They're quite abnormally long lol.

As the others I have a little crit. The shoes are more poly that need be, and the buttons would work with textures, the arms are a bit long as others have said, cant complain about the face however, love that face :)

So what! I wanna get out! 'Cos there's so much out there! So many different people, living different lives! Incredibly good guys, bad guys... Folks completely different from us! It's one huge melting pot! See, it's not about success, dying in the streets, who's better, who's not! I just want to be a part of it! I realized that even if I've no connections, no talent, even if I'm one big loser, I want to use my hands and feet to think and move, to shape my own life! We can just die here or we can try, see what we've got!

I love the face, and the body would be awesome if it was fatter and shorter... The shoes, are too "half-spherey", the buttons are unnecessary and the hands are just too flat... and the arms are long as stated before :P Not half-bad tho... more like 1/3 bad :p BUT KEEP IT UP! Practice makes perfect!

lol, thanks all. :)

I fixed some of his perceived problems as well as texturing him. I think the face needs work though. Or at least some extra hair under that hat.

The geometry on the arms and legs is too simplistic, and has a very unnatural shape, that probably won't look too good while animating.  I suggest looking at the anatomy of human arms/legs on the internet-- I know that Mario is cartoonish, but his arms and legs should still fit the same basic shapes as the real human arms/legs.

I think that the buttons are a little low. Good job though, it looks good!
