This is a completed game of Zelda. Game boy graphics, 8 dungeons, 2 languages (spanish and english), lot of extras, 5 hours of game!! The principal enemy is Dark Link, and the world where you play is Eluryh. It was made by me (efa games helped me but I made 80% of this game). I hope that you like me game!! (sorry for my bad english), first the language was spanish but Bunabart translated it to english. And I used sprites of WARLOCK (founds in google). Enjoy!!

Hmmm. i don't know whether you have used other engines- which a lot of people do- but i think the game seems a bit.. well, i couldn't really stop playing it, untill the parts when you had to keep going back and forth so many times, like when you had to get the mushroom... the animation and screen changes seem to be a bit choppy too.. well, for the good bits, i like the sprites- i think they are great(!), and that you've put a lot of effort into them, and i like the way that various things are their hyrulian counterparts backwards- like Euryh- clever!.. all in all, it seems a good game. oh, by the way, is this the only place you've posted this to?
I understand that english may not of been your first language,
but if bunabart translated it, im sure he would of come across this.

Not bad at all.
Few glitches here and there.
The English translation needs to be redone. Not completely, just proof read by someone to fix all the grammatical errors.

I can play the game but first i need to be able to enable vsync in game options.
I will never play games that has no vsync.
And image tearing is disturbing for me.

Well; that's probably because you post a lot but saying very little... Try to elaborate more in your individual posts so there doesn't need to be so much volume of posts coming out. Realistically, you could have used that last post as one to say something new, instead of reiterate something you said before. Simply editing your original post, and referencing it in your new post would be far more desirable.
Basically just try to say more in your individual posts. It's not instant messaging. You're free to edit your posts instead of creating more and more posts with no more content than the first :P

Well, theres tonnes of spelling mistakes (like the "finds") and half of the dialogue makes little sense.
for your other question, all i need is a script or the words... i don't really need a gmk. your descision.

Yeah I played it a bit. I only got out of the cave and into the Secrets Library. But I have the following remarks:
1 ) Intro takes too long before it scrolls, without any people walking in. Then more waiting for anything to happen.
2 ) Shitload of spelling and translation errors.
3 ) The first guy that talks to you screams "pedophile". How do I come to this conclusion, because of this quote where he introduces himself: "And I am Lonely... Well, I don't know my real name..." And then there is the rest of the dialogue, where he invites you to see his home as your home. I sure hope it is an error. It just gives me the chills.
4 ) Water blocking me like a wall? And no drowning.
5 ) Without a savegame pressing E when game over does nothing.
6 ) Speaking to people is glitchty. You need a real precise position for it.
7 ) Diagonal movement speed up. When moving diagonally Link seems to move notably faster.
8 ) What is it with the white flash when the music (re)starts
9 ) I start to jump of a ledge, when I walk up against the bottom.
10 ) Going through a door by merely gracing it and not actually entering.
You say, you don't want to spend more time on it, but the game still could use a lot of work. Have you even asked a number of people to test it before releasing it as the final version? The readme says you made to previous Zelda fangames. Are they made on the same engine? And what did you program of the game?

The zora sprites are old, by the way, what Neik said, those are somethings to look in to, the first guy did make me feel uncomfortable lol.

Yes, it has 7 beta tester!: Efa games (= FPC) , Bunabart, Masterkey, Pablo, Henri, Nokaubure, Dacov :)
before they searched bugs, there was a loooot of bugs! I fixed the most but some escaped
Exists two zelda fan games before this. They are worse than this and smaller, this inherids some of its codes, but is very improved respect them. I made both XD they are:
-The Legend of Zelda Kaepora Gaebora
-The Legend of Zelda Flames of Darkness
But..... ONLY IN SPANISH!! :'( XD you can search them with google

Don't use sprites you find on google images... ever.
If you don't know who made them to credit them, they're not for use. Rule of thumb for not pissing off people.
I dare say remove any and all sprites you are unsure of and add placeholders, and see if people here would be willing to make replacements.

5-If you save, when you died you can press E for load. It works good, no? or didn´t i understand you?
It is very simple you just have to do this:
1 ) Start a new game -> Save game -> Die -> Press E Result: Works like a charm
2 ) Start a new game -> Die -> Press E Result: Nothing happens, You have to press Esc to exit the game.
Because you don't create a save game when someone starts a new game, there is nothing to load when the person dies before saving.

I played it a bit; I'm in the second dungeon on the second floor, but I'm completely stuck. :huh:
I've walked around the entire dungeon multiple times, but I can't figure out, where that last key is supposed to be. I need it for the door in the screenshot.
The game is not the best game possible, sure, but it's completed, which is a huge plus, and it's not in ZC.
That's why I play it, and I also like the design of the world map.
I could talk about bugs and so on, but since you don't want to improve the game anymore it's kinda pointless. I'll tell you a few things though, that could help you for future games:
- Changing the resolution when you enter a new room is terrible, you shouldn't do that anymore (that one boss fight in the pirate village, which leads me to my second point ...)
- That boss fight is unfair, because you are not warned that it will happen and therefore you don't know that you should save before you enter that portal (the pirate in that cave didn't say anything. is that a bug?). Of course I died, and my last savegame was at least 20 minutes ago. :'(
- There is too much pointless backtracking in the game (almost everywhere; luckily the warp rings help a bit)
- Puzzles should stay cleared, once you complete them.
I also wanted to tell you, that although the quality of this game isn't that of a real Zelda game, I enjoyed it and I would like to continue playing it (if I could find that key ;)).
Could you please tell me where I can find that key? Or do you have a walkthrough for this game?
EDIT: Hey, I attached the savegame, so you can know exactly where I am.

Sorry, missed this reply.
There isn't a problem if they post a translation, they just need to make sure that it has an English counterpart in the same post. So, when you talk in a different language here, you need to translate it into English for the rest of the community to understand.
Don't worry about your English being basic, it looks like you're not having any problems.

HAHA that key is very hidden! (i think that i am repentant because i hide it too :-[)
Ok, that key is under a yellow statue in the room where is a stairs (or ladder?)

You must put a bomb in the E* and take the key
The Spaniards have not problem because the guide explains where is it but obviliusly you can´t understand it.
If you don´t find it, i will put here a screen
Abaut the boss of the pirates, is a mini-bug because those pirates don´t warn you that if you entry in the teletransport will fight with the boss. Only happens in english, in spanish that pirate says you that. It is the Captain´s dog XD
(the most hard boss of the game, but also in any place of map, a big ice dragon is waiting you :o)
When you finish the lv2 return to first village and talk with the port´s man. Soon you will have the LV2 fins!!! (and swim all map)

So far my favourite part of the game would be the Water Temple. I don't know why I like it, maybe because the underwater parts add another dimension to the 2D game.
I don't have much time to play right now, but I'll definitely finish this game later.

Wow lv5!! yeah, the lv4 is the best (for me) but the lv6 is "pretty" :) you will see it
And lv8 [crypt of darkness] (secret) is really hard (and fun), is a challenge

PD: really, is bad translated, is "The Temple of Sea" or "Sea Temple" I don´t know
and, the poem of the skeleteon, is hardest in spanish, in english is very easy xD

Overall i would give it a 2.5/5 reasons are as follows.
- Collisions Could have been better
- Graphics could have been improved
- At 30 FPS the quality is poor , use 60.
- The English translation could have made more sense but i guess it's not your fault.
- Mixing Sounds from different versions of Zelda is a bad idea IMO.

It's not just that there are more detailed explanations like , using a mask and corner cutting implemented , i'm not saying it has to be perfect but these are a few things you could consider ^ _ ^

In GM choosing a room's speed matters a lot, because all the inbuilt timers are based on steps. Personally I prefer coding for 60 since I can't be assed with delta timing but I like to allow the option to throttle back to 30 for people who may have trouble running at 60. The way I do this is to have a multiplier value that timers and speeds multiply themselves by. I know, adds unneeded calculations but meh.
Also, GM is horrible at handling large rooms, especially when there isn't a system in place that deactivates objects outside of a certain threshhold past the view. Optimizations like this really go a long way to improving speed.

In other words, the Game Maker engine constantly gives every object in a room processing time, rather than skipping over them if they are a certain distance outside of the view. Skipping them would allow processing to go by much faster, and would allow the system to handle larger rooms more efficiently, because there would be far less to contend with.
While I don't use Game Maker, there are two ways I can come up with one method off of the top of my head that Game Maker users could implement this on their own. Create spawners, rather than objects themselves, that would activate only within a certain distance of the view. Whenever the object comes within range, it would do one of two things: spawn the object for the first time, or had the object been spawned in the past, respawn the object where it left off. This spawner object would remove the object from the game when it left the pre-defined bounds, while storing a copy of the object's state. This way, there is far less in the way of processing than there would be otherwise, but it would be, as far as the player is concerned, the same. This could also be applied to create an area spawner for enemy objects in, say, a Legend of Zelda-style game. The spawner carries a template of the enemy object, and when the player is within a specified distance, could begin spawning within its area, given a set of parameters, such as the minimum and maximum numbers of enemies, variations to the enemy's stats, and relative spacing between enemies.

In gamemaker that would be done by activating/deactivating instances within a bounding box. There are however some risks involved with that. I won't be able to say what though.

There are. When I was working on Heroa, I was wondering why the game kept increasing in memory in Task Manager.
I had an object that was outside the view for controlling the HUD elements. I did something that checked to see if there was an instance of that object, and if not, it created one. Well, since I had set the creation location outside the window, it kept creating new instances of that object. Eventually, if fills up memory.
I fixed it only after someone discovered a slow-down from testing on a slower machine.
Thank God for someone willing to test.
But yeah, if you do not pay attention, sometimes the activate/deactivate can do things like that.

Just do what I do in all of my games when I have a pause function--- add an escape to your step event for when the game is paused.

If you have the magig power, go to the forest and search two diferent trees. Burn those trees with the power and go into the LV1!

NEW in version 3.0: gameplay much better, design improved, RED POTION (revive), new zone, and WALKTHOUGH translated to English. Also, the english translation is much better in this version
I remind: 8 dungeons, hard game, lot of enemys, items, nice graphics and story, ... all that a Zelda game must has (al least for a fangame =) )

I am stuck!! i can't enter the water temple :'(! The zora princess said it's behind the zora king and i have hit something. But i keep hitting the wall behind him and him, nothing is happening! The king says nothing new and i can't progress!! I have pendant of the princess, i did jabu jabu, i have the latest version, and yet i don't know what to do!
Can you please tell me what i missed?(even if its been years)

It is probably a bug, you might have to make a new save and or next-time back a backup save.
I haven't played the game in a while, way before it was updated fully.
