Well, one of my siblings got a camera for her birthday and is allowing me to use it, and I've recently been playing a lot of Metroid games, so I decided to make some fanart.  So here it is:

Samus

Spider ball

That won't be the last of it.  Feel free to speak your mind, or whatever.

[Mod edit: If you don't have anything nice or constructive to say, don't say anything at all]

[Drills edit: I did have nice constructive things to say. Sure I said it was retarded... But I didn't just stop there. I said it was only retarded because it is in Chibi Style. I also said I could tell he is a great artist and that he should do more realistic drawings. I seriously hate the moderation here...]

Moldrill - Meh, I've never been too good at drawing anything too realistic, and realistic drawings tend to bore me anyway(which may be why I like TWW's art style more than I like TP's).  Besides that, I wanted to make it have a more humorous, silly feel rather than the semi-dark style Metroid games seem to have.  For example, the Spider ball is actually a spider that can shoot webs rather than Samus curled up into a ball.

But the ones I'll be making for the ending of my fan game will be a bit more realistic, or a normal anime-ish style.

Uma - lol.  I don't really like the quality of the picture, but this camera is all I have to work with.  The problem with it is that I can't fit much of the picture in without it looking blurred and crappy.

Thanks for the comments.

I like your logic, Eater. Why draw realistic when thats what we see all the time? A face for example- we all know what a face looks like realistically because we see faces all the time, so why draw a face with the same exact shading principals or same exact proportions?

Right.  That's why, from now onward, I'm going to leave faces out of all of my drawings.

XD I hate realistic style in artwork. What I said came out completely wrong. I love drawing cartoony and everyone else should too (see chopik). I don't neccesarily like Chibi Style though. A cartoony Samus should not be a ball with a visor and feet and tiny arms. It should have a body and a head. Adding a body to that and longer arms and real legs would NOT make that realistic. It would make it cartoony in a good way.

Uma - I was joking. lol
Maybe I should try that though...

Moldrill - Sorry for misunderstanding.  I guess I could try a slightly different style than this, but I've always liked the simplicity of Kirby's Samus form in SSB, and decided it was best suited for the game I'm making.

In other news, I'm working on Ridley.

Is Ridley going to be a little ball with talons and a beak? ...Just kidding. ;)

No, lol.  I'm thinking of just fooling around and mixing some styles.  Fidley will still manage to be creepy, somehow.

Not bad, I like arts in the direction of Chibi! Next time use a scanner (if you don't have one, go to a friend/copy shop)

I meant your sig.

Also that drawing is awesome! The first one is far better. I love it. But... Is that supposed to be Ridley...? Or when you said Fidley you actually meant there is a boss named Fidley!?

I didn't realise I mispelled his name. lawlz.

I figured people might be bored of the usual sci-fi metal dragon thing, so I tried to mix that with something similar to Majora's Mask and other random things.  And I like the axe-tail design more than the original.  His arm and feet will also make for new attacks in the game.

Thanks.

Definitely the first one. But it's hawt. Too hawt for your low quality Metroid game. If you want me to support your game AND Metroid chibi. Make it in 3D and make Samus like your art. The game graphic is a ball. The art actually has feet and arms. Just very small feet and arms. If you can't do 3D... Who know. Maybe I can help you someday and remake it in 3D. :)

Maybe for my birthday I could spend a few bucks on some 3D making program or register Game Maker and learn how to do 3D, but I feel I've done too much work on this project already to start over. lolz.  But you can remake it on your own if you want, I don't really care. :P
