Remember that mini Fan Game I was thinking about a month or so ago? Well, I've begun working on it. It's going to be loosely based on the Roam and Tempest episodes of recently and is going to be an Aerial Side-scrolling Shooter game. Here's a mockup of the Title Screen.



Not sure how long it's going to take, but considering the nature of the game, it'll be a quick process since I have most of the backgrounds and character sprites finished. I just need to work on Boss Sprites, get a Composer to compose LoZ remix songs, then it'll be done.

Excuse me if this has already been discussed (merge this with the other topic or lock it if it has). What are some past video games on the old systems that you wish Nintendo would release on the Virtual Console?

I was kind of poor around the N64 generation so i mostly only got to rent some N64 games. I'm looking forward to seeing:

Link's Quest / LQ Sprite Competition Spring 2007 Official Thread

Welcome to the first Link's Quest Sprite Competition for 2007. The Groundhog said Spring's coming early, so I felt generous and decided to start the Sprite Competition early too. It was going to be in March, but the Competition is now slated to begin on February 16th. You will have one week to sprite your entry, as the Competition ends on February 23rd, although if everyone's not finished by then, I'll allow one more week extention to March 2nd.

The Sprites must be in ALTTP style, and you will be spriting a Boss. What kind of Boss, will be revealed on February 16th (so that people can't cheat by starting it early). You need to make a Front-View, Back-View, and 2 Side-Views. I'll provide the Sprite Sheet Template before the competition starts. There are 12 Spots available in the Competition.

PRIZES:
First Place Winner: Gets their Boss Sprites featured in episodes of Link's Quest as the Dungeon Boss of a Dungeon in the comic. Also, when I've completed them, you also get Volumes 1 AND 2 of Link's Quest: the Comic Book. You also get a banner to sport in your ZFGC signature area saying you got First Place in the Sprite Competition.
Second Place Winner: You get Volume 1 of Link's Quest: the Comic Book. You also get a banner to sport in your ZFGC signature area saying you got Second Place in the Sprite Competition.
Third Place Winner: You get Volume 1 of Link's Quest: the Comic Book. You also get a banner to sport in your ZFGC signature area saying you got Third Place in the Sprite Competition.
RULES:
-The Boss Sprite must have a Front, Back, and 2 Side-views.
-It must be a Zombie or monster or skeleton type boss from a Graveyard-type setting.
-Show this Sprite Sheet to show the 4 sprites:

-Use this font:

-Here is an example of a final product using an existing sprite sheet I made:

-You have until 11PM Central on Friday, February 23rd to complete your sprite sheet.

You can discuss the competition in this thread until the 16th, but like I asked above, please don't request to be in the competition in this thread, take it to PM.

Link's Quest / POLL: LQ Comic Books

Next month, I'm working on 2 volumes of Link's Quest in Comic Book format. I will be featuring extra comics in both Volumes. This poll is to find out what extras I should put in which volume. You may vote twice, so I ask you to choose how you think the Volumes should be. Vol 1 will cover Chapters 1-6 and Vol 2 will cover Chapters 7-12.

In March, I'm running a Spring Link's Quest Sprite Contest on this board. Winner gets their sprite featured in an episode of LQ and First Place gets both Volumes of the Comic Book, and Second Place and Third Place get a copy of Volume 1.

I tried the search function without successful results, so I'll ask here.

Does anyone have access to ALTTP Running Animation sprites of Link running either left or right? I'm in need of it for a future project of mine and tried it with two sprites I tried to sprite, but the running was too clunky. Anyone who can help me out will get credit when the project releases in March.

Well, since the next area in the comic is called Water Plateau, you all can assume there's going to be Zora involved right?

Well, at the moment I only have ALTTP-styled OoT Zora sprites made and I havent had much time to play Twilight Princess due to my job. Also, Nintendo hasnt been too Official Art-happy with Twilight Princess (why? They had LOTS of OA for all the other games's characters). If you'd like to see SOME Twilight Princess-styled Zoras in Water Plateau, I'm asking you to e-mail me at taraj025@hotmail.com pictures of official art of the TP Zoras (if there is any) or Screenshots of the Zoras in TP.

So if you guys can help me out, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

Link's Quest / Kinda Gone For Over A Week

For those of you who don't know, I was having computer problems and now I've sent my laptop back to Dell (well, the delivery service is picking it up sometime today) and they're gonna fix my laptop. I dont know how long it's gonna take, so I sent Blue Monkey the update for my website this Friday. I have access to 2 other computers in our house but wasn't able to get the files I needed (and one of the computers is slower than Christmas) to update, so I'll be around occassionally, but if I'm not able to update for NEXT Friday, I'll post Episodes 92 and 93 as a Bonus as well whenever I get my laptop back.

I wanna get a new DBZ video game for PS2. Which one is better? Super DBZ or Budokai Tenkaichi 2? I know BT2 has more characters, but how much did it improve from the first BT? and What are some of the new Characters in BT2? Also, how different is Super DBZ from DBZ: Budokai 1? Thanks in advance.

I'm not very ggood at large pixel-art type spriting, just the small stuff. Can someone turn this giant blocky Heart-piece into something of the same size, but looks more clear and less blocky and all pixel-art-like?

I made my brothers paper-mache sculptures for their birthday (they're twins). The Naruto one I tried my best but the tracksuit isnt as good as I'd hoped, but omg I love how my Rurouni Kenshin sculpture turned out. Check it out.

i also made a ink-drawing of him.


My next project will be personally for me and not a gift. I plan on attempting to make Twilight Princess Link into a paper-mache sculpture. It might not turn out 100% accurate but I'm gonna do me darnedest to make it look good.
