I would totally go for this.  I know it seems rather silly, but swords worked in Starwars, so why not make a zelda game with blasters and lightsaber-ish weapons.

That sounds like a fun idea.(do you repeal or revoke?)

anyway, would the games be limited to a certain 'genre' or  style of game; say Zelda games(old i know), or would you be able to nominate games from out there, like, Halo games, CoD4, MGS games, or FF stuff too?  I think that it would be open with how you worded it, but i dont know.

I'm not sure, but thats sounds like one of the upgrades that they put in.  if not, it does have(as im sure that this one does too) membergroup privileges.

I checked out the Wiki a few minutes ago, and I think that this will centralize all the info of our members, community projects, and info in general.  I like.
Wiki = Win

now, about the images, I haven't even tried yet, but I think that it will help me later.

I havent ever really played any games related to the Metal Gear games, so I can't say much.  Though i have played MGS3, that was for about ten minutes, and so i got a few cut scenes down, a bit of play time, and had to leave.

But from what i saw in that, looks similar in format and style to it.

I just think it will be fun.

If you want to see SMF 2.0 in action, just head over to The Void, register an account, and talk with us.  We now use SMF 2.0, so no shop and its all a tad different from this.  Its nice though(especially the administration and moderation centers).

At our forums, we found that the shop was unnecesary and it wasnt that big of a deal.

I changed mine from 'The Unforgiven' to .syko.  the <dot> is only for the fifth character, otherwise it wouldnt let me use it.

Well, 60 FPS is the standard i do believe(not sure what the engine is running at), but I assume that it is 60 or 30, so it should fit fine.  I thought that the sword was slow, but thought nothing of it.

well, that one screen shot makes me think that the game will closely resemble MGS2(from what little i played it)

There's also the possibility of somebody on the administrative side, namely Infinitus, writing server software that receives messages from games that identifies the information, granting zero direct database access to applications.
i feel slightly stupid now. Im sorta surprised that I didnt think of that sort of possibility.  I really have had that sort of train of thought in my head for sometime, just never been reality.

I never even looked into it.  I dont have either version of the game, so its sorta hard to try anything.
good luck on that.

this is true, rolling against a wall might be difficult, so it sorta makes sense.

I found that when you swing your sword, it makes you seem to lift up.  just seems odd.

that sounds like a WINdea, meaning it needs to be done.

Well, the only things that I see right away is that the top area(at the top of the stairs)you look like your ontop of the wall that blocks your way further north.  Anther thing, when you are walking against a diagonal wall and roll, you stop dead.  then the 'water walking' sprite comes if your not even in the water, but just close.

other than that, i think its great.

looks pretty good.(spelling and grammar not your strong points?  no offense)

Well, the story seems like its sorta the opposite of what LttP was; Here you have to find the larger number of items before you can find the major pieces that you need to get the 'final prize'.  I like it, but how is the Master Sword incorporated?

'nother question, now about java: Is it good for anything other than web-stuff?  I know that(GASP)Runescape(bah, stupid, but its the only good example i know of)is all just a huge java thing, so is that all its good for, or can it be made to run without a browser?
