Title: (WIP) The Legend Of Zelda: The rod of light.
Post by: zelda fan gamer on October 04, 2007, 09:10:44 am
This is my long lost project, I quited working on ages ago, but anyways, the game is currently beta but pretty solid.

Story: (Incomplete)

In a land, where people lived in pease and harmony, a dark and evil creature came up from the land of the dead and took control over the golden land. people hoped the legend were true, that when the evil came up a hero in a golden armor would come to save them..

Screens: From beta.  :P

Screens look nice, you should put [WIP] in the front of your topic name.'

EDIT: ah, now you added it ^^

It doesn't look solid at all.
I see a screen with Link using an item, then the exact one a couple seconds later when he isn't.
I see no hud.
A story with less than two lines, and I've never seen link in 'Golden Armour' as you describe him.
And further more, Dlbrooks' engine has more than those screens show. So, sorry, but at the moment, this game has nothing to offer me.

The weapon doesn't match the color scheme of the rest of the game. Perhaps you could show another screen so far, and maybe a little more story/gameplay/items/enemies ideas or something. Sorry but look at the other games in this Work In Progress forum and try and emulate what they show in the amount of screens and info or whatever.

maybe try showing a screen of link in another area? not just the same pic but without the use of an item?
But the story sounds pretty ok... if a bit generic...
