Ah, I'm happy to see I finally got some replies. I've posted this in many forums, but most let it die. Anyway I am curious as to why no one has downloaded it yet, or if they have why haven't they said anything about it? I am busy today, and tomorrow I work, but after that I can add more screenshots to it, and maybe even get another demo out. Also, It's for cellphones, but the demo is for PC.
ohh k cool i think ill check it out... um people probably haven't downloaded it because your graphics are very dull, sorry.

its just the name i'm giving to the code that i've made for both this animal crossing game and my previous zelda3d.
theres nothing special about it besides my hard work, its just d3d in gm6.1.
i have an spr_camera and a spr_obj that represents all the objects that aren't drawn. so my camera has the spr_camera icon which is a scaled down canon xl2.. (i own a canon xh a1)
the spr_obj is the little ball thats made when you put an object in the room with out a sprite and it has the little question mark, its that with out the question and a different color, its not necessary but i like it.
the camera angle always faces up and the you can zoom in and out (not going to be enabled in this game)
and anymore questions just ask :)

Are you going to make the character 3d?
It looks to me like he has 2D characters
If the rest of the graphics are 3D but the character is 2D or even Link like in the screenshots it would blow.

>_<
thats a little rude.. i've mentioned on the first post, and in my last post that answered this question, the character would be 3d.. right now the character is 2d gb link because this game is built off of a previous project so he's a substitute until i get past the technical problem of having a 3d animated character in d3d

hey everyone, i didn't like the look the interpolated pixels looked so i haven't enabled it. The character should be 3D for it to be animal crossing.. even though it's going to be a pain. I think i might end up making it animated through .mdl.. and knightmare i think that'll be a great idea to exchange some code. I'm not the greatest gml coder, i'm a 3d artist, so i think that'll really help both of us since we're probably going to mimic the same mechanics as the orginal animal crossing. send me a pm if you wish, im wont be very active on here so please dont bother to get updates, if i worked on something significant with this i will post the update :)

p.s. im glad slimmyGs' mummyG is excited for this

EDIT: @colbydude, i wasn't sure if i wanted that, we already have enough problems with people terrorizing our towns on wild worlds.. i might consider doing a lan play allowing the four users of the town or other towns run around all at once which wasn't possible on the gamecube version.

Ah makes sense. I haven't played Wild World online in a while. This is where a friend code or buddy system may come in handy. Or possibly give an option of the person who's joining someone elses town the ability to ban the person who joined. But hey, don't worry about it. It's just an idea. A really awesome idea....
lol ill think about it i need to get all the basic things working first >.<

i really don't want to see snake in there, im kinda disappointed he's brawl
anyways everything looks great i hope it plays great
its cool that your doing it in flash because it can be plugged into a web page or it can be an app and its available on many platforms that have flash
btw, are you using papervision3d in any of this?

Animal Crossing Game
More to explore!

Updates: 3/12/08 - New screen shots

The idea behind this project is to remake the original Animal Crossing game but expand it in a lot of ways.
The first and most obvious one is it runs on windows with out emulation.
You will have more items and more characters.
If you have any ideas please post them as long as they aren't too far fetch and you wouldn't see Nintendo doing them themselves.
Screen Shots:

Engine:
Cuso Engine
Commentary:
I'm working towards getting a tech demo out soon just be patient. Hardly any mechanics have been laid out. I'm still using the walking engine from my zelda3D game. There's hardly a physics engine, that means you can collide with all the walls and fences but you can't make it up the stairs and be on the second level. I'm still trying to figure it out. This project was built off of another project which was a Zelda fan game. I decided to name the engine because of the possibility of me releasing it and I might use it on other projects. This project and other projects will add more and more features to the engine as it grows. Another note, this project is going to be done in my free time, I have a social, school, and personal life as well :)

Disclaimer:
I am not affiliated with the Nintendo Corporation in anyway. This is a fan game inspired from the Animal Crossing series. I am not claiming any of the artwork or ideas originally created by Nintendo as my own.
