Damn that looks good in terms of visuals. But the crash animations suck. Based on physics? Some of that stuff looks pretty weird to me. When was the last time you saw a guy fall onto a bench from a skateboard, then suddenly just gently roll off really slowly, or see a guy slide along on his face up a slope then slide along his body back down again? It's concrete, btw. Other than that it's pretty cool- although to me the crashes in THPS3 were more realistic at times. If the crashes were sorted out, this game would be amazing.

It's fun, it's a great mix up from Tony HAWK, who used to be my boy.  Now though skate. looks like a good mix up.  It's so rewarding to land a trick with the flick it controls, the only thing I didn't like was the camera angle, it's pretty good unless your trying to grind, I always found my character in the way of the bar.

hmmmm... my initial thoughts are thus: if TH's hadn't ever existed, this would do really well.....but since it does, casual gamers will get bored of the realistic limits of tricks in this game when they can do amazing tricks in THs....buut i could be proved wrong :D

Lol dude, I gave up Tony Hawk for this, I used to get at least 30 million point combos in THP4 - THAW, but than I saw skate and said.  Whow, this game doesn't even use capital letters.  Thats oldskoolz.

Didn't like it. Tony Hawk is fun because it does a lot of cool things easily at the push of a button. skate. takes those things and makes you manually do them... >.> Takes all the goodness of Tony Hawk and strips it... >>
