Do you think a Final Fantasy VII remake for the PS3 would be good? I want them to remake it but thats because I have not had the original. And it is very possible for a remake to be made after FF XIII... Anyway discuss.

If they do a remake, I hope it's for DS, without updated graphics.

I wouldnt want a DS remake I would want a full blown PS3 (or 360 (Yea right)) remake with HOLY !@#$% graphics gameplay and every thing...

I doubt they would change the gameplay.  Of course, you also said everything, so how do you know that FF13 isn't just a FF7 remake with everything changed?  It's a conspiracy.

Anyways, a DS remake would be better because it would be portable and I'd rather have FF7 graphics than FF12 graphics(or 13).

lol, id love to see a remake, maybe like psp or ps3 with like crisis or dirge graphics.
but then again if that happened and had the same gameplay, it would seem weird, lol.

Or you could just play through the PC version of FF7 with the high-res character mod and save yourself a load of cash.

I think the possibilities for a PS3 remake are very high. All I know is I am getting it when it/if it comes out.

:P well for those knowledgable of why~ there was a FFVII tech demo for the PS3, you'd know that it's just not going to happen...

FFVII PS3 was only developed to showcase the white engine, which is a VERY POWERFUL RPG engine that allows seamless transitions between cinematics and live rendering, and that it's been publicly stated that it's not going any farther then that. FFXIII is the result of the FFVII tech demo...

I can almost assure you FFVII for PS3 will not happen.

I hate FF7 discs for dieing on me... Ohwell. I personally would gladly have FF7 on my DS, it'd be fun to use limit breaks using the touch screen (other I never worked out how the hell cloud cuts 5 slashes with 3 swipes O_o) and I'd probably complete it this time 'cause it wouldn't die on me, my Pkmn Yellow is still alive, and I doubt that my saves would get deleted because it's on the cart itself and I doubt I'd lose that!

Heh, I saw on another site that someone put down the idea of multi carts because data is stored on the cart itself. I worked how that could work: Include a GBA cart that acts as a memory card! Although you end up with the problem that you may lose that... hmm :-\
