What new feature would you like to see in ZFGC Weekly?

Porn

no...no.....wait...

Pornographic photos of other ZFGCers

I dont know. How about "obituaries" for everyone who leaves? You could quote members who had things to say about the person.

We may as well call it "Small Forum Populated by a Few People Who Make Fangames, Mostly About Zelda, But More Often Talk About Other Nintendo Franchises Central"
"SFPFPWMF,MAZ,BMOTAONFC" for short.

We need a section related to development, like some sort of tutorial article or some !@#$%.

I could start whipping them up after the 30th (I'm going home on Leave tomorrow), if you want.

There's such a double standard about religion in the modern world. Catholics can gather, wear white robes, and say "In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti" and be considered normal.

But if my friends and I gather, wear black robes, and say  "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn", we're considered cultists.

That'd work.  People, including myself, usually learn better at a slow, incremental pace.

I was thinking of having little tutorials of how to do some simple things in Game Maker or something else that people wonder how to do; e.g. Sonic running on a slope, Kirby inhaling an enemy, Link doing a sword spin, etc.  Although, I do not know how to do all of that, lol.

Or we could work towards not focusing on promotion of a certain piece of software, and have the things be done in a different setting each week. The focus that this community holds towards certain RAD tools, the most prevalent being Game Maker, is getting disgusting. It's supposed to be a community based on development on fan games, not a community based on development of fan games using Game Maker.

I was just using Game Maker as an example as a lot of people use it.  The point of my idea was educating people on how to make things by understanding the logic therein the tutorials so they could then apply the knowledge to whatever later.  I would rather that people learned to rely on themselves a little more than others all the time, but meh.  If something like my idea could be done in something else other than Game Maker, then I would be for that as well, as I mentioned.

I just ROFLd

I had an idea of maybe getting a team together of an artist and a story writer and we could have a comics section with a comic based on the going ons in the community. Or maybe just random gaming humor.

Before I worked on the Weekly, one of my ideas for it was a comic titled "Zelda Offensive".  Ezlo had Tourette's, Link cut himself, the Big Goron was a racist stereotype of a black guy who ate cuckoos (the golden ones were "fried"), the workmen who were carpenters were mentally challenged, Tingle was a flaming homosexual (go figure, right), Keatons were Mexicans, the Goron who sold stuff was a pot head, the octoroks always wanted to blow you, the Like Likes were vaginas, Vaati was a midgit, the giant Chu Chu had cerebral palsy, and the ghost sword brother was the incarnation, personification of a human sperm.

I was thinking of a Member of the Week. It could be somebody who has contributed to the site or been really funny during that week. There could be a vote at the end of the month where we could vote for a MotM out of the MotW's chosen. I dunno, the weekly has seemed too generic. Possibly have a little interview of the MotW or the MotM chosen.

This ends up in a popularity contest, no thank you.

The only way a Member of the Week/Month would work for the Weekly is if there was a corresponding thing on the site; looking though text to see who would be such a thing would feel boring.  Meh, then again having a member picked every week would kind of cheapen the value of itself.
