Yeah, not to sell anyone out, but I at least saw that CrystalAngel04 was online and looking at this topic after the report I made, Theforeshadower was also online, and a few other moderators may have been on, I don't want to go through all of them though. But whatever, back to debating.
Oh, did you see that McCain also switched his position on oil-drilling? There are people even now saying that this will wreck his chances in the coastal states, wtf. Tourists are the ones who go to the beach and they live elsewhere, and the cost of gas would motivate them more. Environmentalists who bust a nut over everything neglect the advances in technology that make finding coastal sources more accessible. Then again though, all of this wouldn't really help in the short-term and would mostly help out in a half-decade or so. But still, a few things could curb gas usage: better fuel economy, developing new plastics with less petroleum, having Americans get past the stigma of riding bikes when they are older for local trips, etc. Really, oil companies are not all of the problem. The fat lazy people are.
