Guitar picks....I still haven't found the right pick, but I found a really good one called DAVA control. Basically it's a lot easier to control, it's flexible but it's not the type of pick that breaks, but they wear down and become very blunt after a few months, well depending on how long you play per week (I cannot see how some people can solo with blunt picks). I use them the most, but of course for strumming on the acoustic I definitely use the thin-gauge picks.
Other than that my other favourite is Dunlops "big stubby", some people complain that they're too thick but I think anyone could manage the 1.0mm ones. Rarely do I use the 3.0mm pick, besides shredding and doing sweeps I cannot say they're that much good for anything else, unless you like that sharp sound while picking, the 2.0mm isn't much different but it's my 2nd favourite. My strings break, but I only need to replace my guitar strings about once every 2-5 months, I'm guessing the strings have just simply been worn out.
