Basically it's some girl playing Nintendogs, then it cuts to a white screen with about 5/6 DS games, and a posh female voice goes, "Great DS games for girls! From the makers of Nintendogs!" And what would one of those games be? Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. So I'd just like to say !@#$% you Nintendo UK for emasculating one of the best video game franchises ever. They've probably hired a dozen casual gamers to do that advert.

Your opinions UK ZFGCers?

I can't find any links to it, and even on the Touch! Generations site Zelda isn't listed. Obviously it's just the Nintendo UK idiots who know nothing about games.

What is wrong with marketing to girls?  Zelda isn't just for males, videogames aren't intended just for one gender.

"Great games for girls!" in probably the most feminine games advert next to Super Princess Peach. Keyword, "for girls". As in, "aimed at girls", as in "girly". It's just annoying. Why the hell is Zelda for girls? My point is is that Nintendo UK are all idiots and need to research games before marketing them. If it was something like, "For the whole family", I wouldn't mind, because it IS Touch! Generations, after all. But they just said, "for girls". It's not the advert I don't like, I'm cool with that, but why's ZELDA of all things in there?

Also, Link wears a tunic- standard men's medieval clothing.

Limey, I'm well aware that videogames aren't just for guys, but they basically auctioned Zelda off as some girlish game, which it really isn't, and if anything only prevents what is a great game from doing well.

Zelda fan: Hmm I think I'll buy Phantom Houglass.
TV: Great games for girls!
Zelda fan: What? Hmm, I'll probably give it a miss then.

And the fact that on the Touch! Generations site, like I've already said, Zelda isn't even there. It's !@#$%, basically.

Yeah, that's good. I'm glad girls are getting into gaming now, but just the fact they marketed Zelda as a girlish game. It's annoying, personally, because while the cartoon style is appealing to girl gamers, they're basically saying Cel-shaded Zelda games are girly, which they aren't. They're for everyone. So really, the stupidity behind it all is what's irritating.

I know girl gamers, infact got beaten by one on mario kart DS not long ago. Which im not particuarly bummed about, as long as i remain undefeated at pokemon and SSBM im cool.

and anyone who was planning on buying Zelda:PH wouldnt be put of by that advert.

Yeah, good point. I think I'll get lock this now, since there's more important matters to be worrying about. Like Evil Kinevil's death.
