You should have kept everything the same in the new one EXCEPT for the GFX style ;)
You know the graphics are teh r0xx0rz. You just won't admit it. X3

The main thing we wanted to change was the plot. I had to make it a little less random and cheesy ("omg everyone will love it if I throw Dark Link in it!1!!!111"), so the new plot is completely different. Some of the locations will remain pretty similar, but will be moved and remapped so they will fit in the traditional screen-to-screen view. And we're dropping some of the generic areas to make room for more interesting all-new ones.

Oh, and a lot of the music will be the same.

So we're not really changing everything aside from the graphics. Just a lot of stuff.

Several times when I was younger, I got mad at my parents and decided to kill myself by holding my breath. Obviously it didn't work out quite like that. But I guess he was thinking the same thing, just in a smarter/dumber way. But if he really didn't mean to kill himself, he probably would have been able to climb back up, right? I don't know. Maybe by the time he realized he didn't actually want to do it, he was too weak?

Yeah the game is allot slower than melee and the heavy characters like Wario, DDD, Ike, etc feel more so that you're playing a heavy character than Bowser, or Ganondorf did on melee.
The lighter characters also get more air than before.

But I've never understood the whole "slower" thing. Maybe when it comes to falling...

I was thinking and having aliens isn't that much different from the other crazy stuff the series has had.
Exactly. People complain too much. I think everything was tied in quite nicely and made sense.

Some of the special effects were a bit obvious, but aside from that I really enjoyed the movie.

Hell yes it's good.

And if you have trouble drawing straight lines, hold Z instead of A to paint. Or just give your wrist a really quick flick to the side. I had a bit of trouble with lines before I started doing that. Now I'm literally doing it in my sleep.

Yeah, I dreamed that I did a bit of Okami magic around the neighborhood, and in the morning I woke up to giant tree branches fallen all over the place.

I was mostly disappointed in the sucky battle mode, but aside from that, the game has been great. My first online play was flawless. However, the next time I tried, it kicked me off three times in a row before the race even started. Meh.

The difference is that I actually have reason to complain.

Note: This post is not really pointed at anyone specific, and it certainly doesn't apply to everyone here.

So, does complaining about each other's opinions make you guys feel better about yourselves or what?

Seriously, I agree wholeheartedly with whoever said they're embarrassed to be called a gamer. Gamers are getting way too arrogant and bitchy. Just shut up unless you're actually going to make some sound arguments without bashing other people. I'm not going around flaming everyone for their opinions. I'm just yelling at you for being rude, self-centered idiots.

I almost hesitated to post this, but then I realized that I don't care if I offend you. You deserve to be offended, the way you treat people.

Haha now I look like one of those mean/stupid people nobody likes. And it was rather in vain...but whatever...

We've altered the file selection screen a bit.

One thing to note is that we have added tunic-changing name cheats, which will have the same effects as the tunics in Link's Awakening DX. You'll have to play around with his name to figure them out.

This screen is also a good example of the outlined text we want your feedback on.

By your logic: OMG NINTENDO IS BEING SO SELFISH THEY REFUSE TO HAND LITTLE MAC OVER TO EA SO THEY CAN PUT HIM IN FIGHT NIGHT AND DO SOMETHING WITH HIM!! Jeez, they're a corporation. Do you really expect them to "hand over" their property to Nintendo for them to make money out of? And Smash Bros deals with characters of actual importance, such as Snake, Mario and Fox. They're not going to waste time on a character that's been unused for 10+ years and most likely never will be. Waste of time and money.
Holy crap, that was an amazing argument...no sarcasm. Actually I have changed my opinion now, I don't think Geno deserved to be in Brawl...
Game and Watch, Pit.
Ah, you beat me to it.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl / Re: Who's your "main" in Brawl?
« on: March 15, 2008, 01:42:45 pm »
1. Toon Link
2. Link
3. Snake

Sometimes I'll go for Samus, too. I really like the Links' variety of quick attacks, especially Toon Link. And Snake is just awesome.

You can download 'em all here.

It's too bad they took out the Ballad of the Windfish. That was amazing. Still, I was glad to see some Gameboy Zelda recognition in the game.

Also, they should have actually remixed something from The Wind Waker.

15
Ok, so I see the benefits...but:

1. I don't think FL Studio can export as ogg
2. Gamer Maker doesn't allow them anyway

So I'm not sure anything can be done about it.

16
Ogg is a bigger filesize than mp3, isn't it?

Anyway, dlbrooks said that GM doesn't accept ogg... :-\

Feedback / Re: Community Project Is In Need Of Help

I think it would be fun to contribute, but I seem to remember people getting all protective when others tried to join in. What's the deal with contributing? Can anyone just drop by and give ideas/resources/stuff like that?

More updates!

-Engine improvements.
-Messload of bugfixes.
-Improved item actions.
-Slight graphical updates.
-COMPLETED FIRST DUNGEON! :D
-Yeah, that means miniboss and boss battles. Hooray!
-I'm converting the soundtrack into mp3 form. In the future, you'll have two options for download: Higher quality mp3 version (which would be a lot bigger) or lower quality MIDI version.
-And we started on the next area.

New screenies:

And one more thing: A trailer will be on its way soon/eventually, so watch out for it! You'll get a taste of the new mp3age.

None of that really bothered me besides the Pokemon Trainer. He was awful.

Like Drew said, we've come to expect terrible voice acting. I've gotten used to it. Better voice acting would be nice, but this is about the quality I expected.
