Title: New game engine

It's being made in VB6 running off DirectX 8

I'm trying to make a generic engine, with a scripting engine powerful enough to handle almost any 2D game.

To run a short demo of what I've got so far, open the EXE, click Game, Open Script, and open Untitled.ovs from the same folder as the EXE.

To demonstrate how flexible the scripting engine is, none of what happens is setup or directed by the exe, it's all controlled by the script file which you can alter in notepad if you catch the gist of what's going on.

I was pretty excited about it, but looking on this site there is a bunch of far better looking projects...

Btw, the script binds controls as
arrow keys, left analog stick, POV hat 0 to the dpad
button 0 on a controller to B, another button to start, I forget which but if you have a 360 controller it maps out to the SNES layout

Also, the reason some tiles are translucent is because in editing mode, the current layer you're working in is set to full opaqueness, where the other layer is set to half.

This obviously will not be the case in game mode

Maps are .map file, tileset = .tset and script = .ovs.
