Meh, they're still easy. Elite 4 in this game is pretty easier than the Elite 4 and Champion from Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow.

Not yet, but in Emerald you have the Battle Frontier (trust me, that Frontier is way better and harder than the one from HG/SS/PL), and in Platinum you have another Frontier, with 5 buildings instead of 6.
