I like that idea. it would be really interesting having to fight a boss that way, and not the usual use-an-item-on-the-gem idea (or similar). mabye he could just fade into the dreamworld after a certain amount of time, and if he gets hit in the real world it would bring him back from the dream. link's shadow, in the real world, could be sleeping (the boss has a shadow of itself too), and he dreams of the boss without armour (or something like that), as an easier way to destroy it. anyway I like that idea, ds the not so brave and bboy. now to see if KM likes it.

looks nice :P I agree using sprites would be better though.

You know, Im really interested in knowing what you all think the definition of a sprite is... afterall a sprite is simply a scalar or vector-based graphic which can be manipulated in some way to create the illusion of fluid motion on-screen.

whatever... It's just an image to me.

I have to agree that these sort of 3 frame animations are not exactly what I like, as they remind me a lot about RPG maker. but they're great sprites, I am absolutely crap at spriting, let alone animating.

also anyone looking for a laugh read pages 48 onwards (if you haven't already).

I'd recommend you delete any saved graphics, and especially refrain from uploading them.
I myself can't take any legal action, but once I sell them you'd be at the complete mercy of the developers, just depends how far theyre willing to drag you
Awww, don't be so selfish man... >_>

EDIT: Fox, or whichever other mod changed my words, I don't think I appreciate that. this post did contain .TakaM getting his own back.

*Thinks about removing, but doesn't remove .TakaM's sprites and tiles*
I don't respect your copyright man. these tiles are everyone's.

I do taka, even if fox doesn't :P

hehehe, I don't think I'm that bothered so far because I just happen to have the whole tileset (that he released) and almost everyone else's tiles and sprites on file! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! :P
Of course I don't have any others that you've made, but still, I have some.

I got a crappy joke played on me, I had to walk 2 kms with a group of about 20 of us carrying around 5-10 kg backpacks in 32 degree heat only to be underwhelmingly suprised by some people in bushes. haa haaaa haaaaaaaa... >:( I'm still pissed.

also.TakaM, it is a bit obvious, isn't it? :P

Here's a set of mine cart tiles (minus the cart). they might not be great but I don't think they look too good against the grass.

They arent really great. Sorry Blue Chu Man but the switch is hideous. The minecart tiles are okay but what is with that grass? ._o
Tiles damnit!
I did submit some tiles on page 40 but no one's even quoted on them...
They're not bad, they're better than I could do, but... what do they have to do with Zelda? A track like that... seems quite out of place in a Zelda game <_<

Those seem more suited for an RPG of some sort than a Zelda game
Have you ever played the Oracles games MiN? They've got some puzzles where link hops in a minecart and has to hit switches to change the direction of the tracks as he rides.
There are sequences like that in MC too.
Ok, ok, I get the idea. :P I sort of thought that they weren't really suited to this style and more an rpg than zelda, but I decided to post them anyway. I'm only an ameteur at spriting/tiling and midi making, so I sort of expected this kind of feedback, if any. the reason I made them was because there are some of these sort of puzzles in MC. OOS and OOA.

also grass looks great Kame. :) It just needs an overlay sprite.

No idea, although I did hear that someone on the net had managed to rip all of the Wii's internal music although thats completely different
Lmao, I downloaded a 455mb file with all them in (as far as I know) and put them on my iPod, as I seem to be better at making midi files of mp3's when they're on there.

Well I can understand assets that should be unique to one project like... Ganondorf, for instance, aren't being contributed to the thread for anybody to use. We wouldn't want that.

What pisses me off is that this thread was created under the innocent pretense of being a collaborative project wherein the whole community would work to create graphical assets for anybody from the community to use, but has turned out to be something far different.
What it is now is a thread misleading people into thinking this is a style that is being created in their interest, when really it's just a collection of sprites that the heads of the "community" project will be sifting through and handpicking for their project.
The sprites like Ganondorf and link won't be released to the community until after the project is finished. with your second point, however, you have completely missed the point. no one said this style was just getting picked for the community project, if you want to use them you can pick your own from the sprites posted here and make your own sheet. The people in the community project are only picking the ones they want for their game, you're quite welcome to use the ones you want for your games, scince this is ZFGC style and not ZFGCCP style.

Hey, I have a big favor. Can someone organize all the tiles we have (outside, inside, all that stuff) into one neat tile sheet for us to use? You do realize the main use of these tiles is for ZFGCCP? It's hard to tile rooms in Game Maker if they aren't organized, and I don't wanna have to put that on myself, or GOodnight or the other coders.

yep, can do. I'm gathering all the tiles at the moment, then I'll make a sheet for them. do you want a sheet for tiles, one for npcs, link, enemies etc?

Edit: oh yeah I forgot to ask... does it matter if i put a zip containing them all on 64 Digits?
