Entertainment / Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for PS3 and Xbox 360
« on: April 05, 2008, 10:52:02 am »It's been about four years since Budokai 3 came out, and since then, there hasen't been a true sequel to Budokai 3. I say "true sequel" because there were two games on the PSP, but they were more like enhanced ports as they didn't add very much to the games. Finally, after three years of Sparking!/Tenkaichi games, Bandai Namco is going back to the Budokai gameplay style. Dimps, the developers of the Budokai games (Note: The Tenkaichi games are not actually Budokai games. They were developed by a different company, and in Japan were released under an entirely different name from the Budokai games) are returning for this next gen sequel. The game covers the Saiyan to Cell arcs (no Buu arc unfortunatley) and will be this style of gameplay's first dive into the realm of online gaming. Unfortunatley, Atari is changing the music used in the Japanese version of the game, which is remixed music from the show, with their own replacement music, much like they did with the Sparking!/Tenkaichi series. The new song made for the game, sung by Hironobu Kageyama (the singer of both openings to Dragon Ball Z and a few other songs), is also being replaced in the English version, with an instrumental version of the song. Due to this, I'm planning on importing the game. I perfer the Japanese cast anyways. The only downside is I won't be able to read the text, but I've played, read, and watched the the story so many times I know it by heart, so that doesn't really matter.
