Which is better a Desktop or a Laptop
I say Desktop for the 5 Reson (Please exsue my Spelling)
1.More Control a Desk top has a Mouse then a finger Pad
2.New game Come out  which need better Video Cards
A DT you can crack the case and Replace it  While LT you have to buy a new Laptop
3. You won`t go Blind Laptops have such small Srceens you can`t see what is going on the srceen
4.DT are more stable your are on a bed play Warcraft with Buds the all of the studden you are kick from the game becuase you
erther brock you wireless connetion or Made you disc Jump and it have you Bule srceen of death
5.Bigger is Better=P

I like my desktop much better. My laptops battery life is only 2 hours. Laptops have good features, but desktops are faster and just have a more homelike feeling for me. Laptop keyboards are crap, you must admit. The Keys are so tiny, but they are better than mac keyboards. Anyway, I like desktop better for home life but I have a laptop anyway. Most laptops try to cut corners on graphic cards and memory because it sucks battery life like a leech. My laptops screen is bigger than my desktop screen but unfortunatly it gets dirty easily and has weird coloring.

What I meant about my screen:
When at certain angles, the screen goes wack. If I am on the side of the computer I cannot see the screen, it changes colors. This does have some advantages *cough* but I dont use my laptop like that. My desktop keyboard has seperate buttons on it for different things, I never use them but they look cool. I find it esier to code, I code in php, using my desktop, the monitor is more refined and it is esier to see my typing when I am not in dreamweaver.

Yay, a fellow php coder. Anyway, I code directly from cpanel, I have about a 400*700 px input box to change code. I dunno, I just like my desktop better.

Same here It just seems that the laptop is to small to do any but notepad :-\

Well look Let say WOW2 come out and you need a Nevida 1812MB Video Crad to play a Desk Top oner can buy a the Card and the game Crack open the up the Pc Plug it in and play while if the LT user want to do the same you have to buy a Brand new LT to play it and LT arn`t Cheap ether I will have More money in the Long Run to on WOW Severs while you well buy the LT
two months later you buy WOW2  the another month of Dream about playing it then Have anof money to play on a sever
Well I have been playing three month before you and now I am a level 100 or something So to summer rise
You have to have money Come out your Ass to beable to Upgrade a laptop Every time it need new Hard Were
there
in ponit Every thing Upgrades A Desktop can upgrade but a Laptop can`t

Yes your Are right But the One thing you missed out is the Money is what make the world round
(Well not to me)I am going to save more money in the long run while still be paying off that brand new Laptop

I prefer a desktop, but both are equal really.

Desktops are usually more powerful (excluding alienware..) and a bit easier to use.  They're also easier to upgrade and can hold more harddrives (correct me if i'm wrong, my friend's can only have 1 internal hdd).

Laptops are portable..IMO that makes up for all the things a desktop has.

Laptops are inferior in the gaming aspect, that is true. But we have compensated for that with all the other portable gaming devices we have. We have a DS, PSP, Portable xbox(just kiddin), GBA SP, GBA, GBC, Playstation 1 with portable screen. They were all MADE for gaming and they are cheaper than laptops. We dont have to meet the maximum requirements for graphics on every game, I have guildwars running on my shared memory graphics card when it shouldnt be shared an actual it should have 216mb graphics card. Also I have a strange ram size, 416mb, they ask for 516. Games have GRAPHIC SETTINGS for a reason.

No it dones`t Becuse if a laptop last 2 hour long with out being plugin And you go on a cartrip that take 3 hour 1out of those 3 hours you are going to be Bored portable Cant really stand out against that

Multiple batteries. Run on low settings. When I push it and use my ultra hecking skills I can make my laptops battery last 4 hours.
Tips:
Turn off usb drives
Turn off cd drives if they are not in use
Close unused appilications, antivirus,msmsgs, wireless driver
Ctrl+alt+delete to close processes unused, again, msmsgs, wireless driver, antivir

Turn off backlighting if possible

Get a car adapter.

The car adapter for a standard 90 volt laptop is about 15 dollars. Wow, that costs alot.

Can't you get away from a computer for an hour? I mean, wow, I might actually have to do something else in the car. I dont even use my laptop on trips, we had an 8 hour car trip. We have an adapter and everything. Source of money: PARENTS

2.Every parents are and not some are will to buy 900$ laptop for there 7 year old Son
But some don`t a want one in  in the house

Your 7 years old? You probly shouldnt be on these forums. Anyway, I wasn't talking about getting the laptop from your parents, I was talking about the car adapter.
