Welcome to the rebirth of the annual Character Creation contest of 2012!For those who are new, this contest has been around since 2005 and hasn’t been run for a while due to general inactivity on the forums. Now that we have a fresh batch of new members, we have decided to start up the competition in full!
So what exactly is the character creation contest? Well, it’s simple: you create a character, display it to the forums, and then let them fight to the ultimate death for the glory of the #1 spot!
This board is dedicated to general questions for the contest. Here’s a description of the child boards:
CHARACTERS BOARDThis is where you will create your character and campaign them. Feel free to be as artistic as you wish.
A picture and a minimum of 150 words of description are needed. A user may only have one character in the competition.
The preferred format for images is .png. Please keep in mind that we on Staff will review submissions in this board. When we approve your submission, we will write an [APPROVED] tag in the title of the thread. If your character is generally inappropriate (use common sense, review the rules, or ask to have your submission reviewed by a staff member) then we will simply lock the topic and add a [REJECTED] tag.
MATCHES BOARDWhen the competition starts, this is where the matches will take place between characters. There will be a systematic way of dividing the characters once the characters are all submitted. The way voting works is by polls at the top of a thread. You may only vote once per match. When a character is defeated, there will be a [DEFEATED] tag added to the character’s thread in the Characters board.
We have come up with a list of dates to follow for the competition:
- SUNDAY, JUNE 10TH: You have until this date to come up with a character and post it in the Characters board. After this date, we will assemble all characters into divisions and prepare the matches! Please keep in mind that if you are a day or two late, we will indeed accept your entry, but we encourage you not to wait until the last minute

- SUNDAY, JUNE 17TH: This is when the matches will begin! Wee!!
