Same with "more pixels" and so on I guess. It does make visuals stand out, letting you feel like you, or the characters on screen rather are actually in a 3D world, which can help with depth perception in platformers etc too though. But with the price it is, it doesn't seem like a bad addition at all. The towns look soooooo much more beautiful in Bravely Default in 3D
. In 2D, it just looks as if your characters are on some pre-rendered background, like with all pre-rendered backgrounds. Pre-rendered backgrounds can be very nice, but they really do have something missing I fell. But with 3D on, you can 100% tell that in fact, the characters are inside that "real" world, not standing on top of a flat world, and it just brings so much more out of the world.
