Rioting and Rebellion
« on: April 11, 2006, 10:55:34 pm »
Do you think rioting is a valid means of political complaint? Is it worth the disruption it causes?

And, why do you think some groups of people, and certain nationalities, tend to riot more? Are they more politically involved than other groups?

ALSO:

Do you think violent rebellion/revolution is ever a viable solution to the problem of political corruption?

I think it is, sometimes. For instance, if the country lacks democracy and the rest of the world fails to act against it, it is up to the people in the country to do something about it. If the government won't listen, then maybe fighting is the only way.

On the other hand, Mahatma (Mohandas? Whatever you wanna call him) Gandhi did a good job.

Non-violent rebellion is great! n__n.  Like protesting, where if you dont 'technically' do anything wrong or illegal.  If you get your point accross; You win.  If you get punished for protesting;  You win sorta too, as the punishers will look bad, therefor making your point stand out ;D

EDIT: I'm gonna merge this with the 'rebellion' topic, too similar.
