Font?

Since I installed Windows XP Stripped to the Bone, my computer doesn't display most symbols. What do I need to install to see things like common japanese text, and symbols (like the heart in Cuddle<3Bunny's username)?

I'd suggest Googling "font packs" or "multiple language packs" for Windows XP. Also, if it's like TinyXP and works with Windows Update, you can automatically install all of these things.

I have Windows Update disabled and I don't know how to turn it on.

Well, I found out how to enaple Windows Updates. Still no luck on the fonts though.

According to my friend, you can get language packs from the XP CD.

I'm guessing you don't have the CD so google it.

Out of curiosity, why do you want a stripped down version of XP? I always thought XP was good =].

I just wanted to get rid of all the crap that I didn't need. I'm pretty satisfied with this version; the only problems I'm having are the fonts and the fact that I can't play midis. D:

Control Panel, Regional and Language options (and the next parts may vary, as I'm reading from vista, but it's all relative.) Keyboards and Languages, install/uninstall languages... something of that nature. I'll go boot an xp box to confirm real quick like. (I'm pretty sure the dialog is a little different.)
