Um. Am I still allowed to post if I truly hate Sony but do not make a Sony-hateful remark? If so, I'd say the reason they probably didn't add a second analogue stick is because of backward compatibility. And forward compatibility.

Imagine if the DS Lite had four shoulder buttons instead of the DS' two. Now, you can play DS games on the DS Lite. The extra shoulder buttons do nothing. However, if a game is made that uses these extra shoulder buttons, what the hell do you do if you want to play this game, but only have a DS? Two vital buttons are missing.

It's kind of pointless. A little change that messes up a lot of crap. They become two separate consoles. You're encouraged to buy the new one so you can play these awesome new games, but the only difference is two new buttons, so you don't. And now, you've got a shitload of new DS games coming out, but you're not buying them because "maybe the extra shoulder buttons are used..."

WHAT DOES THAT DO FOR YOU!?

I was about to make that comparison, except in my example, the new DS had two touch-screens >.<. Nevertheless, I gave up and stopped typing at approx. 6:10:43 AM this morning .

It's absolutely critical to know your wireless card, as this is most definitely a driver issue.

Yeah I've tried this, I couldn't get my PC to work with Ubuntu on wireless, or my Mac with a USB Wireless stick, you're better off just sticking to Ethernet.

sure: don't even know if a working driver is out there; but !@#$% that, just forget you even have a wireless card. Surely Ubuntu would suck at supporting it ..>__>. Do you mean "better off sticking to Ethernet", or "better off sticking to an OS that supports your hardware". I'll tell you, my hardware is not disposable.

When applicable drivers are availible, Ubuntu doesn't do a half bad job of managing Wireless Networks.. In fact, I've tried it out on two PC's using wireless(1desktop/1laptop). [even though I do not actively use Ubuntu, or Linux for that matter - not now]
Not all Wireless hardware is built the same; not all of it can be covered by one OS.

Despite if it's proprietary or not, just use it (assuming it works); I mean, ..duh, you've already bought the card =P - unless you plan on buying another Network card. [and for no other reason, but supporting an obscure belief (once again, assuming it works)]

This entire 'story' could be rightfully combated by saying that the parents are evil for treating their children special: by buying a TV, and giving them access to it -- when they did NOTHING, I repeat: NOTHING, in return. Damn stupid parents >__>.

99% of today's 'news' is irrelevant, so I don't let it inflict emotional change on me, as real 'news'(that matters) rightfully should. I just keep a few basic, simple guidelines by my side, to combat the mass amounts of media !@#$%. Such as this case here: the television didn't force its' way into the home, and neither did my Gamecube.

When you bring a child into this world, it's your !@#$% responsibility! You either get rid of it while you still can(abortion/adoption), or you will have to take responsibility for it.


Irresponsible breeding is so prevalent in today's world, where we already have plenty of people - and domesticated animals too.

Sony gave the impression though of a "price cut" and thereby made a lot of people happy. And now it appears to be just a temporary clearance sale. I don't have qualms with Sony, but that move is just mean.

Everyone(well....not everyone ..D:) is way too quick to believe. And no, Sony didn't !@#$% you all over - it would be damn stupid'er of them to drop prices all around; even if that seems logical in your own happy little world. If you hated Sony before, then you'll still !@#$% hate them now; but this "move" did nothing out of their ordinary.

This is a nice value, while it lasts. I only wish that I'd have the money to take advantage of it, while it lasts - seeing as how the HDD can be upgraded later. Also, unless there were other untold upgrades to the new 80GB model, $100 for 20GBs more HDD Space would have been a super rip-off >_>. So yes, I indifferently accept this as a simple clearing-out method.

In any case, Sony is really testing the waters in the Console Business; I agree. A renowned name will only get you so far, and Sony is already feeling the effects of that. Not to say 100% that Sony is screwed this generation, but it's quite obvious what their expensive powerhouse has done to them business-wise, thus far.

..so, this is merely a re-design? In that case, the answer to why there's no second analogue stick on the device is dead-simple. Adding one would screw over all owners of the original PSP, by making new games incompatible >_<.

Also, this looks nice, to me. I may someday pick up a PSP. But a Wii is first and foremost.

Ok, well I purchased a 70$ headset that was attached with a mike around a year ago. Everytime I record, you can hear a distinct buzzing noise. When I record music you can't really hear it, but it still annoys me. I've turned my recording level volume down and it still doesn't do the trick. I've tried a 9$ headset as well and I still get buzzing (not that that helps much ^__^)
Any help?

While I don't know the quality of the $9 headset, ..this could mean that it's your sound card/input that is causing the buzzing!

Does your sound card have an input labeled "Line In"? (assuming that you're currently using the input that says "Mic")

If so, try connecting your headset to that input[Line In], then go into the Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Audio, and click "Volume" in the "Sound recording" Section. Now, check the "Select" box under "Line In", and make sure there's volume. This will tell Windows, and programs running under Windows, to "listen" on this Audio Input[Line In]. If "Line In" wasn't an option, then go to Options --> Properties, and make sure that "Line In" is selected/checked.

If this does nothing, or makes it worse: simply reverse the above instructions, and ..that's all the help I have D:.

[The above instructions may differ if your Sound Card uses its own software]

Very, very old, and yes it is real. The sensor bar's cord transfers nothing but power. All that the bar does is light two infrared lights - one on each side.

The wiimote detects its' pointing position, in relation to the two infrared lights. It also sees candles the same way, and that's why this works.

I'll probably pick this game up eventually, ..after I get a Wii, of course. I've never played a RE game before, so I'll probably also get the GCN Resident Evil Remake, and RE0, and the others, eventually, ..probably starting with RE for GCN, seeing as how I never played the original. Seems like a good series.

Oh, and we just have a 6% tax here, on everything except food .

Wow, nice. As said, it doesn't look too much like link ..in the sense that as you increase the size of the ALttP sprite, it looks a bit less like the character of Link.

Nevertheless, good work. I don't have many crits, as it's obvious that you were basing this off of the original. While it may have slight flaws, those were inherent in upgrading the original.

Despite all of that, the right side of the hair looks a slight bit ..too much higher than the left(and the hair could have more detail...) . Or vice-versa, if you were link >__>.
(edit: and the tunic is a bit bright)

Wait, but wouldn't we need to censor all words then? Just in case they are a swear word somewhere? I mean the word "fan", is a swear word in Sweden. Let's censor that! In Sweden "!@#$%" means "end", which basically means that writing Swedish on English censors becomes garbage. Why not let English become garbage too by putting a Swedish censor on it? And yes I am, ignoring the fact that English becomes garbage even with an English censor for those who notice... >_>

But yeah ..some of the censors are quite excessive; and are trying too hard to appeal to everybody at once, when you can't.

A big part of the reason for the sensors being default, imo, is to not scare away potential members with a bunch of !@#$% !@#$% language in their first thread, after they found us on google, and possibly made an account(and thus, it'd have to be default). Then again, other parts of the population who find us through a search engine, may just get turned off due to us being sooo sensitive. (not to mention that $#*% pretty much = !@#$%)

Um, the word "cr*p" is currently censored and has been for some time, and possum is just saying it should remain that way.  I don't really understand where you're coming from here.  Are you agreeing with cpp that we should remove it from the list?  From my point of view, it looks like you thought possum was asking for it to be censored when it wasn't already.

I knew that crap was censored, I was just disagreeing with his argument that crap is a curse word.  I don't understand why we have it censored.
