Entertainment / Virtual Console games...

Is it just me, or is Nintendo holding out for good games on the Virtual Console? Don't get me wrong, there are some good games on there now like Super Mario Bros 2, Donkey Kong Country, ect... but as far as 3rd party games there severly lacking.

They have plenty of incredible games for the Super Nintendo to put on there. Games like Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Super Mario Rpg, Terranigma, Secret of Mana and tons of others they could put on there right now. Even for the Nintendo they could put freakin' Crystalis on there. I mean, they put crappy Nintendo games on the VC, why Crystalis? I think Nintendo even bought the rights to Crystalis from SNK awhile ago, if I'm not mistaken.

My point is, why would Nintendo wait to put great games like the above on the Virtual Console? Are they stalling so that they can make more money? Or are they just making us suffer...

One day, Nelly Furtado was going to see transformers when an evil guy made a bootleg copy of it. Being the incredibley skilled fighter that Nelly was, she ran after this evil man. She beat him until he was past dead and took the bootleg copy.

As she was about to destroy it with her lazer vision, the bootleg began to glow. It said "Nelly, you've saved Transfomers... By the power of gray skull, I give you the power!!!!"

And with that, Nelly became part pirate flag, and part Optimus Prime. She was then referred to as Optimus Nelly, international part Optimus Prime hero.

TORPID MAN

Story:

Torpid Man, as the world knows him as, is super hero. He's in his later 30's, has an office job and has a wife and 3 kids. When he isn't Torpid Man, he's his real self, Willson Redelgio. Willson loves his work, stapling things, filing papers and such, but one day, an evil villain named Karpentenelly(Part of the Congregation of Seriously Bad Dudes) came and started getting rid of every single office job ever created. Even janitor! So the Universal League of Hard Working Office Employees(ULOHWOE) came and asked him to join their powerful force of 5 total.
 
He gladly accepted and was given a cape, orange tights, helment and shades. When he put on this costume, he became TORPID MAN!
 
Together, ULOHWOE fight against the evil Congregation of Seriously Bad Dudes and keep office jobs a live for the many office job loving people all over the world.
 
Basically, Torpid Man uses office supplies to fight. Mainly his Stapler Nun-Chucks. Instead of flying, he propells his body forward and up using his terrible gas. Thats right! He farts to fly. Oh and for some strange reason, he talks with a heavy, latin accent.

Okay, now this is the way Zelda would be if Uma was in Shigeru Miyamoto's place for a game. The story goes thusly

A long time ago, when the land of Eluryh was being consumed by darkness, the hero of the ancient prophecy of the G-Tribe made it clear who the hero was: A blonde child wearing green. But the evil theive, President Ganondorf, was trying to destroy the world. He used a strange, metal-based "magic" which he called Mashina to the bidding. Mashina, as he called it, was new to the people of Eluryh and spooked them out. And of course it caused nothing but trouble to everyone bla blah.

So yeah. So far, I have an idea for Link's main way of travelling around the vast vast land of Eluryh, which would be a yellow submarine that can travel across any terrain and transforms into a mech with a face mold shaped like Bill Cosby's face. This will take the place of Epona. But Yellow Submarine Mech can't be taken into town or dungeons.

I also think this should be 3d 2d. But a simple, low-poly conservative style. Oh and outlined. No shading though... just flat colors. Some people will have texture, but normall not. And the gameplay would be a bit different. It would have the regular slashing and junk and stuff... but when you defeat an enemy, you have the opertunity to capture there Inner G, or the power of the sacred realm, which is encased in a tablet. By collecting Inner G tablets, Link can buy things from the Sacred Pawn Shop. Link can buy new stuff like new sword moves, special Diamonds or Mystery Cubes.

Special Diamonds are things Link can equip to his sword. He only has 1 sword in the game, which is the Sword. Original name huh? Its just a sword you know? Anyways, these Diamonds boost the effectiveness of Links attacks.

Mystery Cubes are collectables. Plain and simple. They don't do anything except be collectables. There are 51 different types! Can you find them all? When you collect them all, nothing happens. But thats a suprise!

Oh and don't forget about Link's helper. Thats his magic solid platinum grill whos name is Smithy. He helps Link by giving him info and stuff on enemies and some clues here and there... Like Ezlo or Navi. Or Navi and Ezlo mixed together. This is why its called "Grillz of Destiny". Link has a grill!

The game would be short, like 6 dungeons all togther. The first 3 finding the parts of the platinum Triforce which will give Link the power to stop President Ganondorf, and the second is when in the midst of things President Ganondorf takes it and has like tons of power because thats what happened in OoT. Thats when you need to find the statues of the G-Tribe. Those give Link more power than Ganon and stuff so he can win.

Its a bit jumbled now, and probably will never get off the ground, but maybe if I get enough response... or if people want to help. I don't know... I'll draw some concepts laters.

And also Link swings his sword with the right hand.

If you look at the trailer under media... my god... I was left speechless... though i'm a little worried that the transformers might not talk... and the song "Transformer" by Gnarls Barkley might not be in it... but other than that... it was jaw dropping, man. The CG is flawless... such... quality... god I need to see this movie.

Has anyone besides me played it here? Earthbound 0 was a great game. The first in the Mother series, it had everything a game back then didn't have; A touching story, modern enviroments, and an unforgettable warming atmosphere that will truly stay with you.

Though it was never released in the US...

Discussion / A few questions...

I've recently decided to move my game to gamemaker, for my players sake. I want them to be able to experience the game more fluently than if it was in Rpgmaker, like I originally planned. Plus having a team will keep motivation for everyone up and theirs less of a chance of quiting ;D. Anyways, before I go any farther into my script for my game, I need to know something:

How hard would it be to do player AI in GM? I mean like in an active real time battle system. I'm not going to be coding it... I have no GM experience ! But i'm going to need a coder soon... and I need to know this for my coders sake! I don't want my coder to be coding something freakin' impossible. That is, if I can recruit a coder!

And, another question:

How hard is doing 3d in GM? I was planning on having 3d backgrounds for the game... not highquality though. Like playstation/Nintendo DS quality. Just background; Not characters. Those are going to be 2d. Once again, I'm not going to do this. I'm going to need a 3d person... if I can find one. If I can't, then i'll just stick with tiles. I just want to know for both my (Hopefully)coder and (Hopefully)3d person's sake.

And:

If it could handle 3d backgrounds, could it outline them? Like real time outlining... I have no idea what this is called. I don't know alot of 3d modelling, as you can tell.

Also:

If I remember correctly, GM can handle particle effects, right? I need to know before I do any more special effects. And, if so, how limited is it? Can it any kind of distortion? Like water, fire, refraction, ect... or any screen effects? Like that cool after tracey effect they use in kingdom hearts when really dramactic things happen and everything is all ghosting... AUHT! Its hard to explain. I have no idea what those are called.


Thats it... I NEED to know! Please, GM experts, tell me! Please don't get mad at me... I just want to know some stuff to make it easier on my (Hopefully)team.

Okay, so It was during lunch when I was all eating and stuff. I was minding my own business when this one dude, he was all "Hey, is this seat taken?" and I was "Uh... no."(I usually sit alone. None of my friends have lunch with me! :'() He sat their. Then, out of no were, he says "Will you be my boy friend?" and then I was thinking "What the f---!? Eww...". Then I was all "...no... sorry." and he was "*sighs* Will you be my friend?" and I was all "Uh... okay?".


That was REALLY awkward! I'm not gay, incase you didn't notice. But that was REALLY weird. It must of taken alot of courage to go up to someone you don't know and ask that though. I'll give him his props, but its just... ewww... High school is weird.

So, today we started to read Romeo and Juliet in my english class. I honestly can beleive that people back in the old old old days like this horse shoot! Actually I can. I found almost every line hilarious.

Best. Shakes Speare quote. Ever.

Anyways, I loved everyline. It made me laugh so hard! My cheeks felt numb when we finished. And that wasn't even all of act 1; We still got ALOT LOT LOT LOT LOT to go. We also had to watch this really dumb video on how Shakes Speare's work had changed peoples lives. It showed this one dude with like 20 peircings and a Mexican accent saying stuff like "With out Shakes Speare, I probably still wouldn't be in school, homes." or something. I bet they paid him to say that.

How the freak can that stuff change your life? By giving you something to laugh at really hard? I could understand that. But really; I'm pretty sure Speare didn't intend for his works to be thought of as funny. I think Speare was high/drunk/stoned/drinking red bull when he wrote this. I so lost when I reading it; Thats what made it funny! Its too bad though because i'm probably going to totally fission mailed all of my tests on it. At least I get to laugh!

Anyways, am I the only one that thought Romeo and Juliet was funny? Maybe I have a strange sence of humor... well I've always known that!

I was wondering... is their a Psf player that will allow me to disable channels? Like with the snes their were 8 channels that produced the sounds... I tried winamp, but I can't figure out how to disable them.(If I can...) But I do remember an older version of winamp that let me do that.(I have V.5.32)

So i'm wondering; Is thier one that can let me disable channels besides winamp?

Okay I just had this totally genious idea for a movie. It be about Hasbro, an ace protector. It would totally be an action movie about how Hasbro, leader of the rebellion against an evil evil company called Toy. They annihalted all the people of world except the main characters who lived because the writer said so.

So toy is incharge of the world now. And Hasbro, ace protector, decides its up to him to change the dark, ruin earth back into its former glory! He tries to stop them alone, but fails terribley and gets his arse kickded. So the rebellion, also known as R.E.B.E.L(Real eaters of beef eggs and lettuce), take him in and use thier super powers that are really all powerful like super strength and flying and stuff. The only problem is that now their powers are gone for ever ever! No!

I know your wondering whats so evil about this company? Well, they tried to make people listen to Kevin Federline! ALL DAY! How evil is that? Very evil! Even though everyone except like 5 people are alive in R.E.B.E.L, K fed is still a major threat because they don't want the very fabric of time and space to fall apart. Not only that, but they took away all the beef, eggs and lettuce ever! Now no one can enjoy the B.E.L in R.E.B.E.L!

So now is up to Hasbro and R.E.B.E.L to save all of the human population! Or... uh... some poeple.

BTW this will be the most serious, High budget action film in the past 12 years. I mean, this could win the grammy for best movie ever ever for ever! Really!

Okay I just had an idea for a game about the weather channel! Its like a weather Rpg! Heres the story!

So the weather channel was broadcasting their forecast for the week when they notice a strange cloud appear over the sky! It was the amazing time travel cloud which warped Speed Thunder, the lowly weather reporter, to another place in time! It wasn't for any reason though... it was up to Speed Thunder to save the world from an evil weather event! He had forecast his report though ages! 65,000,000 BC, 5000 BC, 1000 AD, 1800 AD, and 1970 AD! It would have a battle system almost exactly like chrono trigger!
