Oh god that was HILARIOUS.

The intro was !@#$%, obviously. The rest was pure gold.

Petitions are a little... lame, actually...

They don't get anything done, and they can't actually *force* the company to develop what you want them to develop.

I'd personally rather see Nintendo do it because they want to do it, not because they're forced to.

Petitions tell companies that they have loyal consumers who are genuinely interested in enough in a product to petition about it. If a company doesn't respond to consumer interest, then they have no excuse if that dies out. And if consumers don't tell companies what they want, they have no reason to !@#$% about not getting it.
Show me cases where doing an online petition actually gets something accomplished, with regards to a developer and/or publisher doing something like this.
I don't remeber if it was online or a regular petition, but if memory is correct, Chrono Cross was released to the US due to a petition...back in the day.

I could have remembered wrong though.

Not to mention that various regional releases of games like Super Smash Bros. and Animal Crossing were due to petitions and fan demand.

It's a pilot episode, I'm sure it would get better with sponsorship money.

The problem is, the production values themselves are already pretty good. But the humour and acting - parts that won't improve given more money - are dreadful.

UNGH. BORING.

YAHTZEE. WHY THE !@#$% ARE YOU SO BORING.

WHY ARE YOU HANGING OUT WITH BORING AUSSIES.

TALKING IN A BORING WAY. ABOUT BORING VIDEO GAMES.

Nice idea, but seriously flawed for the fact that no-one in it really seems to give a rat's ass.

If they were gonna sell out they could of at least done it with a good band >_>

Guitar Hero: Iron Maiden

Moar like Guitar Hero: Arcade Fire.

Yeah that would totally work.

Future Perfect was my favorite. Excellent multiplayer. Sucks there won't be more.

PFFFFFT. TS2 ftw.

To be fair though, they only made a couple of good games and none of them recently. And they totally sold out and went way too mainstream, which just sucks ass really.

Still, sad to see one of the best English game developers in recent years go bust. (I say English because I found out today that Rockstar North is technically British. Wow.)

but seriously this place is 25% fangaming and maybe 75% general discussion- and most of the posts are in general discussion, and you want to get rid of more of those areas? That's totally helping the community.

Fixed. Seriously. There are about 3 active projects currently, and about a hundred active discussions.

Try four. Or five.

But yeah, mostly inane conversation. I'm involved in one of those five projects (<__<) but more involved in natter than work.

Nooooooo, not Off-topic

;-;

Without OT, Guardians of Hyrule is basically the only reason I'm here...

Oh yeah, I guess I better do some writing for that.

Learn how to line up your backward walks quickly. Saves time rather than lining them up or readjusting them part-way through.

This is gonna seem obvious, but make sure you know boss routines thoroughly. I can't believe how many people think you actually have to cycle through one of Gohma's egg drops when you can just shoot her down straight away.

And yeah, since it's only for the first three dungeons, don't even think about anything like getting the Hylian shield or heart pieces or blah.

Hmm. What else? Can't remember, it's been a while since I tried to speedrun OoT.

Hmm. Glitch?

Or are they randomly generated anyway? And this was just the one in a million chance of getting two?

I forgot. That totally worked in Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annhialiation.

Mortal Kombat's all !@#$% anyway. And I didn't say "if they do that then INSTANT GOLD", did I? It's just a prerequisite.

Hey, guess what? This is a modern update of a 24 year old manga series, and I struggle to see how that is, in itself, a bad thing. We'll have to wait and see for the movie itself as to whether or not it's good as a whole, but whatever.

It's not a modern update. It's an attempt to make money off fanboys.

No, the attempts to make money off fanboys were the dozens of video games, shitty animated movies, oh, and yeah, Dragonball GT. Did you forget about those?

If they're going to make a movie based on an anime, you can't ignore what makes it what it is.

You just have terrible taste in things.

So Dragonball is defined by Bulma's blue hair and Roshi's baldness and beard? Wtf?

It's defined by the fact that it's a modern update of Journey to the West. Do you want me to rip apart Dragonball for the liberties it takes with that classic?

Goku has Japanese traits, not America traits.

Goku always looked white to me in the anime.

Bulma's hair is blue, not brown with a streak of blue.

Blue hair doesn't exist in the real world.

Roshi is bald and has a beard, he doesn't have grey hair and is clean shaven.

You should've pointed out that Roshi looks white as !@#$% in the anime instead of this. Boo-frikkity-hoo, his hairstyle's wrong. That makes it a bad movie by default, huh.

etc etc.

They need to do some research. Chow claims to be a Dragonball fan, but I doubt it.

nb4 BAW YOU EXPECT TOO MUCH.

I don't expect much, but I expect them to do things right.

I expect them to ignore half of the Dragonball mythos, and damn right too. It's goofy and annoying as !@#$%. The only way the movie could work is if they tried to be original and had their own take on it.

Let's quickly eliminate some rubbish ones:

Quote
PS3
Devil May Cry 4
Grand Theft Auto IV
Metal Gear Solid 4
Soul Calibur IV
Silent Hill Homecoming

LittleBigPlanet
Bioshock
Resistance 2
Sonic Unleashed

Wii
Okami
Mario Kart Wii

DS
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
Final Fantasy IV DS
Chrono Trigger

Not 100% sure about the DS ones, but seriously, screw Square. Never cared for them. As for Gaiden... meh.

Everyone knows that if it'd been a 360 teaser then it should have looked like this:
