Look who it is! And why did you post this?
-
I clicked it and the site is extremely slow.
It looks like it can have some cool looking wallpapers tho.
-
Look who it is! And why did you post this?
Whats that supposed to mean?
Why shouldn't he of posted this?
Anyways, the site seems like a cool idea, I should really get back to playing WoW...
-
I don't know what I meant by that, I just didn't want to post LOOK WHO IT IS! That alone has negative connotations. Meh, I was just trying to say something.
-
Shouldn't there be information on what the site is? I mean I have no idea what it's about. I'm not just going to go clicking into a website with a fancy picture link ;)
-
That may have been another reason my post came out the way it did.
-
Hey TRM, I've been following your desktops both on various sites and myspace :P Good work, keep it up
-
my only concern is the WoWDesctops logo, the W and the D are in completely different styles something that looks bad, :P apart from that the site looks really cool.
-
Yeah, I need to come up with a cool layout scheme.
-
Although Im not a WoW fan, I like the desktops. GOOD JOB :D
-
Hello again, TRM. How have you been? Also, this is a great idea!

Same here. :D

Oh this is your website.
Heh, I thought you just really loved it.
Well, first things first, you need a better web host.
It loads like I have 25K.
>_>
-
It loads like I have 25K.
Loads fine for me.
Out of curiosity, Dan, who are you using as a web host?

Awesome! Thank you.

I've been okay, I appreciate that.

That's probably because of some of the .png images, they're pretty large, I'm completely redoing the site to load quicker...
Loads fine for me.

I'm using Yahoo webhosting.

I'm using Yahoo webhosting.
You should really find somebody more reliable and open with their system, like Surpass. I'm running a reseller and a dedicated server through them. They have magnificent customer support, and I've come to enjoy their personal attitude towards their hosting services.
-
I've used yahoo for years, they've been very reliable.
-
Yeah, that explains why it's slow.
Yahoo web hosting sucks.
:(
-
Completely updated.
-
Wow, pretty cool TRM.
-
Thanks Regulus, I appreciate it!
-
There we go, it looks and loads a lot better.
Very nice.
:D
-
Glad you like it now, I'm trying to make it really pro-style
-
Well when the website is done I will definitely Digg it.
:P
-
Schweet, that'd be great.
-
If i see any of my mates who like WoW, I'll let them know of this site.
-
Thanks KT, appreciate it.
-
Meh,
I went in there looking for computers...
Nice wallpapers, but the overall layout is unappealing. Especially the title.
-
Well, you know what opinions are like... lol
-
No one?
-
No one what?
-
I haven't received a reply by anyone who wants a desktop from the forums.

WoW? ...WoW??
So that's what happened to TRM...
WoW is a pathetic alt-reality where nerds and losers try to be cool by bragging about how many hours they've logged in the game. The only people who won't agree, are in fact the nerds and losers playing the game.
'Nuff said.
Now about your site, don't use Yahoo. >_>

:( I used to play WoW........ and I used to log 8 hours a day every day when I didn't have a job :(

Because it's impossible to play a popular game, like WoW, casually.

Wow, way to make yourself sound really, really stupid.

The closest thing to a "casual" WoW player is someone who plays and actually has a life, which is rare. And even they wish they could be as "cool" as the fat 14 year old kids who have 100+ hours a week logged.
WoW isn't a game, a lifestyle to 90% of it's players. If they're not playing, they're gathering in little packs at school hallways to brag about their characters.

o.o Majority of WoW players don't go to school hallways.... as they're over 18 :P
Also... I played WoW for a long time. I don't play now, but I would if I could. On top of that, I have a life now, I had a life then. *shrugs*.
I typically hear the same argument from people who've played WoW for about 10 hours tops, and only got their characters to lvl 12 or something around there then quit. Realistically you cant bash the game from a technical standpoint, because it's a masterpiece. Not very glitchy, etc. The game is solid. So the only possible way to really have a beef against the game is personal issues with not owning it or not getting very far or not understanding how to play it D:

No. Your argument is based upon stereotypes of MMORPGs and their players. Perhaps you should take the time to actually learn what you're talking about instead of just going by what you assume.
I had a life when I played WoW, and I have a life now. My friend with a girlfriend, plenty of friends, and a full-time job plays WoW. You aren't defined by a !@#$% VIDEOGAME.

You're never going to change my opinion on it, because I AM going from personal experience, not just stereotypes.
And no, I never played it, ever.

Then stating that you're going by "personal experience," is out the window. I know people that play WoW that also take time to go to work, work out at the gym, hold up a personal (romantic) relationship, have a social life, and get 8 hours of sleep a night.
I would think twice before you bash, assume, and stereotype.

Uhh, so you're allowed to say "I know people who..." and have it count as a valid opinion, but I'm not?
Just because I've never played it, doesn't mean I don't know people who have. And if that's just a stereotype, it's a very valid one. All of them fit it. (I'm talking about 50+ people here)
-
I think all MMOs are laaame. I'm also surprised that no mods said anything about this going way off-topic.
-
Well, when your in Iraq in the Army (a job) away from your wife and kid(s) - Another on the way (gee, I do have a life besides WoW)... and you're trying to get the guys (and gals) in your unit to have some down time; WoW is a great thing, especially since a lot of us don't have Internet access, so I set up private servers and Lan parties for those who CASUALLY play...
I might log a total of an hour or two a day, other than that, I'm writing letters, getting my gear up to snuff and talking to my wife...
I can assure you NONE of my players here is addicted or 14 year olds who don't have a life, almost all of them are 20+ and most are married and have kids.

I never stated that I knew this from personal experience. Stereotypes are never valid and you'd do well to remember that.

Alright this is getting too off-topic. Just stop it here or I'll lock it.
-
I know plenty of 20+ year olds who play and neglect their spouse/kids.
If you're away from family, why not use your spare time to write letters?
But this is going way off-topic, sorry TRM.
-
Not a problem, you have your opinion and as you said, we're not going to change your mind... and that's ok...
