I've checked the US amazon, but they say they won't sell certain items, video games included to Canada, and I've checked the Canadian amazon, which doesn't have the game...
So I went to ebay and it was generally the same story (not many sellers shipping from the US ebay to Canada)...
The ones that *were* available on the Canadian ebay, or shipped to Canada were $40-50 after shipping and conversion costs, etc.
I guess I could settle for one of those but $50 is a lot for an old game like that :p

Are game cartridges all the same? Or are they specifically designed to only run on one system? PAL, NTSC etc So say a game cartridge for a European N64 system can't run on a US N64 system because they're not the same? Logged

I tried to look into it and it seems to be able to play PAL games on an NTSC N64 you need to mod it and stuff, seems very difficult to do too. That's a shame cause I've only got the PAL version of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon , well good luck with your search for an NTSC copy. Logged

Well thanks for trying to help anyways. I'll keep looking for it..

EDIT: Did some research and I found a converter cartridge that would allow me to play PAL games... but that's another $20 on top of the game haha. *sigh*

I wonder... if anyone would buy it from ebay supplied with my shipping details? Haha. I can give compensation of course.

Reputation: +2/-0 Offline Gender: Posts: 132	Unless I'm mistaken, I think that the only difference between PAL/NTSC n64 is the "shape" of the cartridge. The little holes at the base of the cartridge of a PAL n64 game are not the same as the NTSC's one. If you could open you n64 and remove the piece that prevent you from inserting the cartridge, you could play games from every region. Logged

Not quite. It involves doing that, yeah, but the PAL N64 doesn't have an RGB output or something like that which the NTSC one does, and that tends to cause issues. To mod an n64 you would basically need to solder a certain chip from the PAL N64 onto the NTSC N64. I'm just briefly going over it, but it's a process something like that..

EDIT: Q.K. really wants this game ;__; even if it means getting someone from the US to ship it to me. Dunno how much this counts haha but I'll love you forever if someone can get it/sell it to me. Oh, and music. Or stuff. And of course the money to cover it & more. ;__;
