I was on a rom site and came across something that had the words,"Gameboy Evolution".
I was intrigued and went to the all-sacred Google.
I read a couple of sites and now I am curious.  What the hell is the Gameboy Evolution?
Some speculate a new Gameboy that will play mini-disc games with an attachment
that allows you to play every single Gameboy/Advance game that has every come out.
Others speculate that it will be a Gamcube portable. Using the following analogy,
it is believable:
GBC=NES
GBA=SNES
DS=N64

Does anyone know anything about it?  One website has said that it is confirmed to use the mini discs
and is capable of 128-bit games, better than a Dreamcast.

If it was true, it would be a big internet phenomenon. I've never heard of it.
EDIT: I googled an article, and it was very old. I doubt it's real if nothing came from 2 E3s. (2005 article)

The GameBoy Evolution was a rumour from some three years ago based on completely ridiculous premises and supposedly was to have features that have never even been hinted at. It did not and will not exist. Ever. Case closed.

Old old old news.  Not news actually, old old old rumors and speculation.  And the number of bits doesn't really indicate how graphically powerful a system is anymore.  If you want a powerful handheld that uses minidiscs... It's called the psp :P

Nintendo doesn't believe in the GameBoy anymore.

The DS2 is what I'm waiting for.

Actually I think that analogy is true, except the handhelds are a little more powerful than the older console. The GBA was a little stronger than the SNES and the DS is a little stronger than the N64.
