It's funny how things can change, several months ago I was like recolored GB sprites only. And now I'm totaly in love with the GB pallette.  ;D

Then build your own format and have each pixel hold data that tells what colour it is coloured when loaded in. Use the actual GB pallet for colouring.

Why would I do that instead of just using the normal GB sprites?

Hyrule_boy, I think it's great that you decided to go with the original GBC pallette and external resources. The latest screenshot looks sharp (although I think Ricky has a point about using a different font [one that would more closely resemble the GB games' font]) and I think it will be a cool option to be able to play with MODs to the game. I also agree that the game will benefit greatly from external resources and a reduced load time (just look at OoTGB. I love the game, but lord, by time it finishes loading I resemble Gandalf from LOTR.) Well, good luck on your game! I look forward to the demo.

sorry to say it but the whole title screen doesn't look like gb style, mostly for the colours you are using.

 I would try using a different moon, the one you right now looks a bit odd. I just can't figure out why it looks odd.... =/ The rest of the title screen looks really good, though.

We had other plans but it would become to crowded so we had to remove some things and now it looks a bit similair to that one.
