(NOT YET READY FOR A GAME)
Check out this engine and tell me what would make it better.
I want to update it but i don't know that much about GM6.
Tell me what would make it better and explane why.
This engine is a Mario64 type,BUT its still beta.

Here's what would make it better...
1 No press up to jump, give it a real button instead of up.
2 Work some way to slow the speed when you slide.
3 When/If you do an actual jump button,make it so you slide when you hold down and jump.
I'll give you some more later...
Oh...and slow the animation down.

Perfect!Perfect! I been trying to give him a REAL jump but none of my codes work.
So I'll keep trying. vk_alt is the button.

Uh...what's a gb1 file?
back up file, you can open it with gamemaker(if its the backup of a gm6 then open it with gamemaker 6)

something else to change...
If one holds down the left/right button and keeps pressing->releasing down ,the animation sticks for sliding and
mario "bounces" up the screen.
Code it so the players has no control of the character at first.That way it acts more like the actual slide from M64

This engine was sucky. It didn't showcase anything remotely good, besides halfhearted collision at times. There was nothing in it, jumping was weird (variable jumping doesn't work like this in Mario), sprite problems, the weird ground poudn type thing (pressing down arrow key).

ok, not to turn your dreams down but fix what you got so far, making yoshi is not something easy so you should learn more before doing yoshi.

I edited djrellik's mario engine with slopes and some more things here http://forums.gamemaker.nl/index.php?showtopic=262626&hl= the movement maybe sucky since i was still working on it but you may learn from it, if you use it credit djrellik not me.

he is on the gmc and his name is still djrellik. i also posed my version in his topic that has slopes.
i gave you the codes for slopes i am turdfuguson on gmc.

I didnt use your codes cuz I was getting problems, I made my own and also added slope sliding but then deleted the file cuz I started working on zelda stuff.
Whoever uses the engine give credit to djrellik and turdfuguson for giving me the idea and helping with slopes.
