1. Don't assume we know what you're doing this in. Please specify that you're using GM. (>.>)
2. You might want to show us the code we're using so that we can see if you just mis-typed something.
3. Resistance is futile.

Wait, are you saying he keeps MOVING after he stops, or that the animation keeps playing? If he's still moving, put his speed to 0, silly!

If the animation keeps playing, don't you have to set the animation speed to 0 and the frame to the number you want?

You can't FORCE someone to use your engine. He may have found a better one. Even if he didn't, who knows, maybe your engine has a bug in it. But, still, this kind of sounds more like an animation issue. I think.

Edit: ORRR he could just have not known it was available at all... >.>

nope, try sprite_index=0 & image_speed=0 (that is, IF the version of GM you're using has the same variable names & such as the version I used before I stopped) when Link isn't moving.

There's such a double standard about religion in the modern world. Catholics can gather, wear white robes, and say "In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti" and be considered normal.

But if my friends and I gather, wear black robes, and say  "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn", we're considered cultists.

so my friend stole a giant bag of ketchup out of the ketchup pumping things and brought it to our table and we took it in the bathroom and i smashed it over the sink and kicked it around the bathroom and smeared it everywhere and we all took turns kicking the ketchup out of it and when we were done it looked like an african village was murdered in the bathroom

Did you shut your computer down incorrectly (like unplugging or hitting the switch) after editting the file?
That would cause that message to come up.

Yes, let's copy someone else's engine that we don't even understand half of and use it for our game! Sorry, it won't work most likely, if he can't fix his problem, he won't be able to configure Goodnight's engine for his game.

Goodnight's engine is easy to understand.

You just

Change the sprite settings
Set the movestep
Put the globals in either roomstart, game start or create

And there you go, instant engine.
