It's got a nice stylized cartoony look to it. My only crit is he should have some hair on the back of his head :P

Ah yes this is something I am bad about forgetting thanks DJ.  I will add that as I vector it (an easy fix).

By the way, this is completly unrelated and a tangent, but if you finished the Sage Knight on November 30, 2009... Were is the full download link? I can only find the first demo......

I assume you are referring to the release schedule posted on my site.  Which incidentally needs to be updated.  I am sorry, but life as it often does became quite more demanding of me in 2009 than I thought it would and Sage Knight got put on a back burner, but it is officially under work again.  I hope to have a demo done that will be about half of the game by Z3 or this summer if you don't know what Z3 is.  I have now updated the release schedule and apologize for the lack of update on the site.  Also there has been some reworking done on the games story since the first demo as well, but that is all for another topic.

I personally like it. You should definitly try coloring it if you have the time.

Thanks I might.

Just a few questions, however.
k

Is that a dodongo in the bubble?
No it is supposed to be the dragon from the first dungeon in the original Legend of Zelda.  I had just got through watching the Legend of Niel again recently and well yeah.

Also is that a Wooden Sword from TP with a Forest Temple symbol?
No it is supposed to be the wooden sword you are given from the original LOZ and the Forest symbol as you called it is a knot in the wood, which incidentally is where the forest symbol came from. LOL

His hair looks a little bit to much like the Happy Mask Salesman's hair. But overall it is pretty nice.
Yeah his hair is what bothers me, but as it is a caricature for a drawing design I am working on, I am not to concerned with details.  Once again thanks for the comments.

Well I got bored at work and did something I haven't done in a while.
I drew a picture of link randomness.  I think it came out pretty well, and I just figured I would show it.  XD

sorry about the phone camera quality my other camera needs to be charged.

Actually, the emptiness is not just the lack of people. It is the lack of anything. I see a part of a building and a tree, which fills almost 10% of the screen. The rest is empty grass. Not much more buildings or trees or rocks or statues. Not even roads, flowers, dirt paches or puddles of water, it is just grass. That makes it rather empty.

Yeah and it gives you the feeling that something isn't right.  Correct?  If you read what Mirby said, that is the whole point of it.

That will be all. Sorry for any trouble my gravedigging has caused.

no problem.  I see this as a good example of an acceptable "grave dig"   ;)

"Post a screenshot!" is a !@#$% title.

It seems to have worked quite well until this thread :P

Yes and as this is the case they are merged and the fat trimmed now please stay on topic.

:x I don't think I can get into a butchering of Tolkien's works. Not a big fan of fanfics, and definitely not a big fan of the spiritual butchering of a masterpiece.

When I hear people speak of Tolkien's work like this I can't help but think of the fact that if it was up to Tolkien himself we never would have known of any of these works.  He didn't want it to be published.   It makes you think. XD

Anyhow I have to agree that I am not for butchering his work, and the only prequel that should be made is The Hobbit and it is in the works already.

Oh yes, that last pic is looking very good. Of course, it really depends on what Veran thinks. My only gripe about it is that the sword looks out of focus compared to the rest, being most noticeable on the handle. I'm not sure you can fix that very easily though..

exactly I need to get some sleep now, and it all depens on what Veran wants so I will wait till he post tomorrow.  Goodnight all.

IMO it looks ugly now. Also, I liked Veren's hair / link's face. I liked the Master Sword, but I don't think it should be... giving off light. Try it just a normal Master sword with no glow, but slightly dark/shadowed. Anyways, ugly was a As Opposed to the earlier ones... No offense intended.

like this?

Looks better, but the image still looks like it is a bit blurry, but it might be because you used jpg pics to make it and the jpg artifacts were already there.  Here is my try at it. Didn't take long, but I figured heck why not.  I love the concept by the way.

Put them side by side for comparison.

What would be really sick is if you had Link's hand wrapped around the hilt (unless that doesn't fit with the game idea here). Anyway, with Bludleef's "revised" version, I have to agree that it does lean a little too much toward the cartoon look, which takes away from the darkness of it. I do like Link's face in Bludleef's better because it looks more devious.
I think it's the brightness of most of it that ruins the dark feel of it; mainly the sword's brightness. I really like that revision though Bludleef! You've got talent.

Thanks!  I darkened the sword and the glow in this newer version tell me what you think.

its not that bad. but it looks a tad cartoony.

Yeah I have a tendency to lean that way sometimes, but may I ask what program did you use to make the title screen?

Also, I changed the font on bottom to give more of a creepy feel, but I still am not completely sure about it.  Also, the placement of the sword was bugging me if it only came infront of the Z at the bottom it would fall.  So I made it intertwine with the Z.

Upload it as a png.

exactly it looks a bit blurry, but that is probably because it is in .jpg format.

Ran it through a validator

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zshrine.com%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0

Result:      18 Errors, 33 warning(s)

Needs some major work if you want the site to work correctly :x

Yeah it is always good to use that site while you work on your website.  If it passes it is more likely that your site will look the same on all computers.  One or two errors might be ok, but 18 errors is a bit much.  The great thing about that site is it tells you exactly where the error is and makes it very simple to fix.  Half the time the errors are simple syntax problems.

The newer one fits more perfectly into the Minish Cap style; kind of evil looking sort of but that is all good. Cool beans, nice job.

I agree I think the evil bit comes from the crooked smile, but that could easily be fixed.
