ok i woke up one morning and thought we should make a topdown 2D zelda game where u can change the camera angle to look behind objects

example: ur in a dungeon and u cant find the exit so u have to press a key to look around a wall

While it's an interesting concept, it might be slightly visually disorienting. Also, it would require four times as much map making.

Not if you made this with 3D objects and just changed the camera angle.
Use 2.5D and move the camera.

It's not intrinsic- at design time it would be an annoying element to implement, and at run time it'd be annoying for the user :s

actually knock off the d key and a key so it is not so confusing and only has twice the work instead of 4th
and at the time i just woke up so i wasnt thinking much but i was thinking that it would be a little more challenging (another example: u have to change the camera angle to see a door behind a wall)
plus d and a just adds some 3d concept into it

This is a fantastic concept to me; it'd be an interesting way to play Zelda, and the puzzle possibilities are great!

You mean something like Brandish: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/brandish/brandish.htm ?

Ew...hopefully without the automatic camera.

Word of advice: Never ever ask this question. Or at least, don't get your hopes up. 9 out of 10 times, no one will help you. If someone does get interested, they might just say so and then forget all about it. (Something I'm actually guilty of D:)
